On the B storyline, after the CO made the admission about ordering the wrong amount of medicine, Harm was supposed to go to the judge and recommend that they don't go to a court martial because 2 careers would be ruined - the LT for not following orders and the CO for making a mistake with the ordering of supplies, with the rationale being they didn't want to lose 2 good officers who tried to do the right thing with the wrong results. And Mac was supposed to agree. They cut it out for some reason. -- HarmyBoard Reviews

that certainly would have made more sense - did the scene with Mac talking with the Lt. about a deal and her wanting to stay in - was that in the original script - or in a different place? Otherwise that conversation wouldn't have made sense after Harm talking to the judge. We all sat here with the same 'huh' look on our faces - there was NO resolution to the story line - we usually get better than that... Some Mac stuff was cut out also. The reason she and the LT didn't get along was because she was relating the LT's experience leaving the little girl before she died to her leaving Lylyana in Indonesia years ago, and having to make tough choices. There were a couple of exchanges about that between them, and Mac was supposed to lose her train of thought in the middle of questioning the CO. They could have cut some of the music and written a story! And how much *better* would the A story have been if Harm, who has a tie to Vietnam MIAs, had been the one investigating, not Vic? Judi, I immediately thought of you when Graves told him a girl doesn't feel special if he hits on everyone he sees. I didn't like that they took up screen time, but I liked the dialog of that conversation, simply because it outlined all the things that we have said about Vic-head in the past. Whoever did the editing on this one, needs to go back and take some courses, this was very pieced together and choppy and without resolution for the B story. I still don't like or trust vic - I could have done with fewer v/g scenes but I did enjoy the A story. It would've been great had it been Mac & Harm trusted to that situation &Vuk against Bud without a 2nd chair. THen it would have been a fabulous ep. It also would've been nice if they'd let Harm join Bud & Mac - it wouldn't have required more time or change in dialogue to have him say Sure, then stand near Mac for the rest of the conversations. Oh well - I guess they edited this one before they were told the show was cancelled, cause it sure looks like next week - they got the message!
