First of all, I really liked tonight's episode. I thought the writing was fairly tight and to the point. The case was almost interesting, too.

Tiner and the Admiral were a hoot or should I say Tiner and the Admiral's anger were. LOL! Bud and Harriet's relationship is progressing / regressing right along - depending on which part you're talking about. And this time, the "B" stories were spicey side dishes instead of lumpy gravy slopped over everything. It worked.

I thought the Harm and Mac exchanges were actually pretty good. It really is "back to the beginning," isn't it? I did love the conversation about how Harm was getting along with Manetti. "No, but you're arrogant." ROTFLOL! I even like this bit about standing inside the hangar watching the rain fall. If DPB is going to keep them as "just friends," then this tone was the right tone for that. However, I'm still campaigning for a little bit more UST with my friendship. Nothing alarming - just another sly look when she calls him arrogant or a slight innuendo somewhere along the line during the case. Was it there? Did I miss it?

All in all, I thought it was a fairly good ep.

However, when in the name of flight suits and four irons did Harm ever, EVER dis Mac about her relationship to John Farrow before? What was that??? He has never mentioned her "past" to her in such a judgmental and, yes, arrogant fashion before. What was that?? And was it just me or did Mac look hurt that he'd bring it up to her? Even if the situation did have some bearing on the case they were trying, it was still out of character and most unbecoming of him to bring it up like that if that's all he was going to do with it.

And why did she explain? This is Mac, and that's old news. They've talked about it before - more than once. It was even part of the case against her when she was accused of killing Chris Ragle. If Mac felt the need to explain it to Harm, I would have thought it would be then.

A while back, there was supposed to be a scene where Harm and Mac revisited their converation about "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," but it never materialized. I think maybe that was it tonight. It certainly fits the pattern of that movie because, like ol' Butch himself, when the hangar scene was finished playing, I found myself staring off into the distance and muttering over and over again, "Who are those guys?"
