Kat -GREAT POST! Thanks for continuing to be the VOR around here. I agree with everything you said, especially this - Kip needs to stop posting about CB's pregnancy & the accommodations that TPTB have made. It does seem like airing dirty laundry. Kip's tone also comes across as very negative to CB. It is impossible to know from one man's e-mails (where we must remember emotion doesn't come through) exactly how TPTB really feel about CB's pregnancy. I do applaud DPB for being willing to go to the lengths he is to make sure CB and her bambino stay happy and healthy. Not many employers would. I think half of Kip�s problem is the FANS won�t let the issue drop. All you have to do is go to a couple of message boards to read some VERY nasty complaints--bordering on personal attacks about them not writing CB�s pregnancy in to the script. I�m happy to hear everything worked out for you in your pregnancy. I do cut CB some slack if I was pregnant you wouldn�t get me near explosives either. Still there�s a LOT of fans that�s has been very negative about the fact they wrote NC�s pregnancy in to the script but not CB�s. I think you're right Lee. A lot of the fans just don't understand the long term implications if Mac were to have a child. It completely changes the show. Honestly? The tones of Kips mails I have to agree with Katrose. I think the man is completely had it with the whole situation in general. I know when the new first broke the fan backlash almost made me drop a list. In fact I lost my temper about it and got a little short in a post I made to a public list. ITA Trish........that is Kip's version....little does CB know what he is saying on the lists. I dont give Kip my time of day.....he goes on and off apologizing then its the same ole story. Only thing I disagree with in your post (great, btw) is that Kip shouldn't be precluded from posting negative comments anymore than the rest of us should. I just wish that when things get too him this much, that he'd take a break instead of venting on the list. CM would tell him (or any other man, for that matter) to try puking your guts up for three months, having swollen feet, ankles and hands, gaining 20-50 pounds, hemeroids and all the other 'joys' of pregnancy. Then to try being in excrutiating pain for 10-24 hours THEN passing something the size of a watermelon, to see how he REALLY feels about any accomodation made then any pregnant woman. I don't think there is any place for such negativity on the boards/lists, but Kip, as an insider, should be especially careful in what he says. I understand how some fans can be repetitive and frustrating, but I don't think it is appropriate to vent about an actress on a public list. Kip is the only tv insider in TVdom that always ask for his own mess to haunt him back. Other TV insiders dont say or do what he does esp.to the fans. First things first - Do we still get Harmy even though we've been enlighteded? Second, Kip's comments all along have bothered me because they suggest there is tension on the set. JAG is so well done and the cast so good together that I want to believe they support each other, have fun and don't sweat the small stuff. Some things are much better left unsaid. Why go there? If you do, try to look at it in a lighthearted way. Third, first time moms usually go overboard with health issues, etc. As second time moms we can look back and laugh at ourselves! He should do what I used to do back in the day - slam the office door, turn out the lights, and dare anyone to bother him. 3 - 5 days later all normal activities could resume. As a first time Mom I was quite demanding... I told DH to take his new shoes and new car and get away from me. He had no new shoes or new car, to this day I don't know where that came from.
