In reply to: judi 's message, "Harm the Hunter!" on 02:52:36 03/04/03 Tue

Judi, I agree with all your points on the negative of the ep. I will concede that there were good points, but I couldn't get past some of the snarkyness. His interaction with Coates was very nice. And I have to give a thumbs up to the editing--they are doing their darnedest to hide CB's pregger belly. (NT) -- but, alas, no shipperness in this ep. Last year we got the Mission--this year Mission from Mars . . . CharS (desperately in need of shipperness!), 22:23:51 02/11/03 Tue

Hmm... good post, Judi. Let's see. THings I liked: Harmkins. Things I didn't like: the episode... Oh alright. It was o.k. I liked Harmkins.. or did I already say that. Well.. anyway, sure did like Harmkins .. oh wait.. ummm..... (NT) -- Sit and Spin Lu, 22:27:36 02/11/03 Tue

Sorry gotta disagree my buckeye friend! No way Harm should've interrupted Mac on her opening statements like that, it was totally uncalled for! While I don't agree with her trying to get him removed (she should've done what she ended up doing suck it up & play your hand or let Bud play your hand), but to be treated like that with your opening statements, totally wrong. I did love it when Bud knocked Mac down a peg, the comment about clay feet had me LOL, I was like go Bud, he was so subtle about it, heh heh..(inside) -- JNTS, 22:28:40 02/11/03 Tue

I kinda liked his comment on her opening. IMO she was pushing the envelope with her opening (My law professor always told us that it was an opening statement save the argument for closing) her words and tone were IMO argumentative and Harm called her on it. Ducking now. (NT) -- Carol, 22:33:21 02/11/03 Tue

Carol no need to duck. Your law professor is correct. I know because I'm there, in court, and Harm was well within his rights. Mac's opening statement was not a opening statement and she was correctly told to stop. People really have to stop thinking that Harm is always wrong and poor Mac is always right. Mac was wrong tonight, several times. (NT) -- Beth, 22:47:43 02/11/03 Tue

Its sad that TPTB have Harm and Mac take turns as in the bad light...though I still love them both. The AJ camps are now worried its AJ's turn next week.LOLOLOLOL! (NT) -- Paris, 22:54:26 02/11/03 Tue

Yes Mac was wrong, but so was Harm. Neither was portrayed in such a good light, I served an internship with the PD's office, & have testified in several cases & sorry I've never seen a Judge interrupt a prosecutor's or a defense's opening statements like that. I agree with Paris, I wish DB would stop "pitting" the two against each other, because IMHO neither wins, & I liked it when neither were Judges, & they were working & solving cases together. (NT) -- JNTS, 23:13:10 02/11/03 Tue

Yup gotta agree. I served jury duty and the judge told one of the attorneys there about the same thing Harm did to Mac ‘get to the point’. So Harm wasn’t out of line for interrupting her. Speaking from someone who sat in the jury box…judges like Harm jury’s LOVE. If you actually time Mac’s and Sturgis’s statements Sturgis’s was actually shorter time wise. (NT) -- Lee, 22:38:20 02/11/03 Tue
I just got the same info from a lawyer friend, so no need to duck, Carol. I'm sure others will see it differently, but I'm no lawyer and will defer to them. (NT) -- judi, 22:41:20 02/11/03 Tue

Sorry, but Harm acted like a first class JACK ASS, Of course all of you think he's GOD, so of couse you are going to think he did nothing wrong. If this is the best JAG can come up wiht, I hope it is cancled this season. I love JAG. I love Harm. But I DO NOT LOVE what TIIC are doing to this show. (NT) -- Afraid to leave my name, 22:45:03 02/11/03 Tue

If you had posted a literate criticism of Harm, I would have responded in kind. However, you chose to call him names which means you can't even make your argument, so no response is necessary. (NT) -- judi, 23:22:49 02/11/03 Tue
Hey Afraid, this is the Harmy board, LOL! I don't agree with some of the comments, but I hope I've been respectful in my disagreement, but this is the board where Harm is worshipped, hence the name, I don't think coming here & calling him or the posters names is warranted. My buckeye friend, I don't know if I could be as tactful as you were with your reply, LOL! (NT) -- JNTS, 23:27:34 02/11/03 Tue

Of course, you have been, Jennifer - well at least for a Wolverine fan. LOL just kidding. No, we can always agree to disagree without bashing and name calling which is totally unproductive. (NT) -- judi waving to Jennifer who's always welcome at the HB despite her sometimes warped view of him. LOLOLOL, 23:33:19 02/11/03 Tue

Well said Jennifer. And I would like to proudly point out that our moderator is one class act. (NT) -- Shell, 23:39:05 02/11/03 Tue

You got that right, Shell--judi is the bestest!! (NT) -- manette, 23:55:59 02/11/03 Tue

Judi certainly handled that much better than I, who was one click away from deleting "Afraid." Disagreement is welcome; however, bashing is certainly not accepted at this board. (NT) -- Crosby -- and Jenn, you are always welcome on this board., 00:12:20 02/12/03 Wed

Good post Judi although I dont agree with some of your thoughts. Harm is right to commend Mac as a judge but this judgeship arc is a real snoozer for them both as characters and for the show, kinda lackluster.Coates to me might be the cupid for Harm and Mac someday(soon I hope),I like her chemistry w/ Mac & Harm.Harm is oh so fine but what a waste again from TPTB,this ep.gets a 2 stars from me. (NT) -- Josie, 22:48:54 02/11/03 Tue

Gee I guess I found what upset Carol. LOL! Harm is a LOVE god IMHO. (NT) -- Shell, 23:25:42 02/11/03 Tue

Re: Harm the Hunter! -- CPJ, 23:00:03 02/11/03 Tue

Harm can hunt me down anyday! Oh Harmy, over here!! Well, maybe I need a life or maybe I just don't have high expectations, but I liked the ep, loved Harm and didn't fall asleep! LOL And did I say, I loved Bill O'Reilly being on! ROTFLOL!! I love that man! (NT) -- Mag, 23:23:46 02/11/03 Tue

Mag, you are so darn cute! Its a great day when you get Harm and don't fall asleeep! LOL! (NT) -- Shell, 23:34:41 02/11/03 Tue

I enjoyed this episode, but still had an uncomfortable feeling through most of it, wondering if H or M would get into trouble somehow. I do admit, I was a bit confused during the back and forth in the courtroom--I'll have to watch it again to figure everything out. I guess this is where is pays to understand lawyering and what is and isn't acceptable. I do agree with Harm--he makes a better lawyer than judge. Mac seemed more at ease on the bench, and in FF, Harm seemed like he just wanted to be the defense lawyer. He's always going to be the truth seeker, not "invisible" as a judge. (NT) -- Pretz, 23:33:47 02/11/03 Tue

Good post Pretz: I too had to check out the lawyer stuff with my cousin "the Lawyer" and Harm was right but I don't like it when they put Harm and Mac against one another with one a judge. Harm is just too active and agressive and out there to be a quiet, sit and listen judge. He is a natural truth seeker and he is passionate in the courtroom. That's at least something that they have kept as Harm's personality. No one is better than he is in the court room. (NT) -- Sue T., 23:57:37 02/11/03 Tue
