Subject: Why this episode worked in general and one thing that drove me nuts
In reply to: - 's message, "season eight: Family Business, October 8, 2002" on 21:38:24 10/10/02 Thu

The ensemble cast approach actually worked last night. Usually with JAG, they have three totally disjointed stories with no relationship at all. Last night, they had the A story with H&M, the B story with Bud and the C story with Singer leaving and even a D story with Sergei. They all actually came together at different points nicely. It was if we were actually still watching the same show. Sometimes, with JAG, I feel like I'm watching totally different shows. Does that make any sense? Last night there was continuity.

Even if it was predictable, I enjoyed the episode a lot on a lot of different levels. Usually, if the episode sucks, I just watch for Harm. Last night there were other good things although he was the best.

Loved Bud's new roomy. He's good for Bud

Loved that Big Bud showed up at the end

Loved that Harm could do for Bud what noone else could do.

(BTW, did you see Harm walking towards Bud at Bethesda? How striking was that? If I were visiting there, I would have fainted on the spot), but I digress...

Loved the Sturgis/Singer part. OMG, wait til Chanukah? ROTFLMAO. I'm going to send Singer my Joys of Yiddish book.

Loved how Harm talked to the little boy. He is so good with children.

Love that Sergei will be gone. But why didn't we know about the DNA tests? Last I knew, Harm was trying to get the envelopes from his mom.

Loved Sergei riding off into the sunset with Singer. Sorry, but that was funny.

Loved how hot Harm looked in his whites.

Loved the way Mac looked at Harm while she straightened his stripes. Did I hear a sigh?
