Date Posted: 18:17:49 06/17/02 Mon *Mikki puts his foot in the stirrup and mounts his tall hanoverian colt. he cues the colt for a walk and the horse responds eagerly. he works the horse through some circles and serpintines before asking for a trot. HC moves into a smooth, easy trot. Mikki pushes him into a foward trot, and makes some firgure 8's before cantering the horse. then he slows to a walk and lets HC catch his breath before trotting him over some ground poles. HC moves eagerly over them and gives a little buck at the end. Mikki sits back and gets the young horse under control. after a few more tries Saddle sets the poles up into a low vertical. Mikki trots his horse over that. HC leaps over the jump excitedly and canters strongly. Mikki allows him to canter the fence the next time and HC jumps with much better form. after a few more jumps he cools HC out and hoses him off, then turns him out.* [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
