Date Posted: 18:21:14 06/17/02 Mon *"Hannah, the vet will ve out to look at Heaven in 2 hours. you need to be finished riding Dun by then because when the vet leaves you need to go up to the house, finish your homework and do your chores" Saddle tells her. "Ok mom. i'll be done by then" Hannah tells Saddle, then she hurries to Dun's paddock and trots him into the barn, brushes the mud off of his coat and tacks him up. then she leads him to the riding ring and mounts. Dun spooks as she mounts, but she managnes to squirm into the saddle and get him under control before he takes off. He settles into a jog and she fights to get him to walk. "Come on! i haven't ridden you in a month and you forget everything you know? behave yourself!" Hannah exclaims angrily at the excited pony. Finally she gets him to walk then dismounts and drags him back to the barn. she untacks him and puts him in his stall. "Hannah, Dun is scheduled for full day turnout, not full day stall time" Saddle tells her. "I know, but he was so bad, he doesn't need any more turnout time. he thought he was playing the whole time." hannah protests. "Ok. he's your pony. if your sure thats the best way to fix this then go ahead." Saddle tells her. the vet walks into the barn. "I'll go get Heaven!" Hannah says, then returns leading the gray arabian. the vet looks at his legs and watches him jog out. "He's good as new. just recondition him gently and don't do too much hard work in deep footing for awhile, it could cause the tendon to be strained again." the vet says. "I can ride him again!" Hannah exclaims as Saddle pays the vet. Hannah puts Heaven away and heads up to the house to finish her homework and do her chores.
