Date Posted: 18:28:14 06/17/02 Mon Jasmine woke up to the sound of her alarm clock and got up.after she had gotten dressed and ready Jasmine headed downstairs and had breakfest.After breakfest, Jasmine, Joey, Jonathan, Her mom Dana and her dad Alex went down to the 4 barns and started doing barn chores with the rest of the barn helpers.the grooms put blankets on the horses and turned them out while everybody else emptied water buckets,mucked out stalls and put in fresh bedding for the horses.After an hour of barn chores, Jasmine went to get Firefly.she whistled at the gate and Firefly galloped up.Jasmine loved Firefly and hoped that her mom, Dana would give the pretty filly to her.Though Firefly was still very green,she was also very kind,attentive and willing.Jasmine groomed and tacked up the filly and went and lounged her.After that,Jasmine hacked Firfly at all 3 gaits around the arena.when she was done with that,Jasmine worked on the intro dressage test with Firefly.When Jasmine and the pretty chestnut filly were done with the dressage test,Jasmine took her to the jumping arena and jumped the filly over a course of crossrails.When Jasmine was done jumping Firefly,she untacked her and turned her out in the pasture with her friends,Star and Sugar.When Jasmine was done,she asked her older brother "could you please drive me to Hoofbeat stables so I can exercise a few horses there?" Joey said "sure Jasmine".After a 25 minute drive to Hoofbeat,Jasmine said hello to the barn manager Julie and went to look at the riding schedule to see what horses she would be riding.Jasmine would be riding a big mahogany bay Trakehner gelding called Triples.she tacked up the big gelding and hacked him around the arena.after that,she took Triples outside and jumped him over a 3' to 3'9 course.she started the course with a bright green single and moved on to a big 3'9 brick wall then she made a sharp turn and went over a combination and moved on to a 3'6 oxer,Triples flew over the last jump,a 3'3 liverpool and then Jasmine cantered the gelding in a circle and walked him out.after that,a groom gave her the next horse,a pretty 16 hand dapple grey Anglo-Arab mare called Lacy.she warmed Lacy up and did the 2nd level dressage test with her and then jumped her over a 3' to 3'6 course and finally walked her out.The last horse Jasmine rode was a GIANT 18 hand bay Hanoverian gelding.Jasmine hacked him and then took the big gelding called Trooper over a 3'9 to 4'3 course.She fianlly walked Trooper out,said goodbye to everyone and then drove home with her brother Joey.After that she watched TV, read horse magazines and went for a trail ride with her little brother Jonathan.
