Date Posted: 18:45:37 06/17/02 Mon 15 y/o Cassidy Brooks set the deep seated gaited saddle onto Southern Gent's back. The big stallion stood calmly as she drew the girth tight and pulled down the stirrups. "Ready handsome?" she asked the jet black horse. Gent bobbed his head and nuzzled her shoulder. Laughing, Cassidy led him outside. It was a warm summer morning and she had planned a trail ride with her friend Suzie. Suzie also owned a Tennesse Walker. Cassidy mounted and gathered the reins. Gent pranced to the arena. Cassidy warmed him up while she waited for Suzie to bring King out. After a bit she spotted the pretty teenager leading a stunning palomino Walker outside. Cassidy trotted over. "Hey," she said with a smile. "What took you so long?" Suzie rolled her eyes in exasperation. "King rolled in the dirt and I had to give him a quick bath. His coat is light, Gent is black, so I don't want to here it!" she joked, swinging into the saddle. Laughing, the 2 friends headed down the shady trail. "Where should we go?" Cassidy asked, ducking as they passed underneath a tree branch. "How about to Apple Falls?" Suzie suggested. "It's gorgeous there." "Good idea!"
