Date Posted: 20:14:39 06/17/02 Mon  Chesapeake Bay Dana waited for Jade to pull up into the driveway of Timeless farm with Jeremy.A few minutes later,Jade and Jeremy came into the driveway and Jade parked the car.Dana walked over to greet them.Dana siad "Hello Jade and Jeremy.Jeremy,were going to work on jumping today, okay". Jeremy said "Yay! how high am I going to jump today?crossrails"? Dana replied "Yes". Jade went to say hi to her horses and Dana and Jeremy walked to the geldings barn.Dana said "you're going to ride Chesapeake Bay today". Jeremy said "okay". Dana watched while Jeremy got Bay out of his stall,hooked him in the crossties and groomed him.Dana walked to the tack room and came back with a childs jumping a saddle and a snaffle bridle.Jeremy tacked up Bay and then followed Dana to the indoor jumping arena.Jeremy mounted Bay and Dana hooked a lounge line to Bays bridle.Jeremy squeezed Bay into a walk and after a minute of walking into a trot.Then Dana clipped the lounge line to the other side of Bay's bridle and Jeremy walked and trotted in the other direction.Dana said "Okay,your doing good on the longe line, so today were going to canter and jump the crossrails off of a longe line.Dana asked Jeremy to canter Bay and Jeremy squeezed Bay into a smooth canter.After cantering in both directions,Dana had Jeremy trot Bay over some groundpoles and then set up 4 crossrails.Dana siad that Jeremy shouyld just trot them and Jeremy did a courtesy circle and trotted Bay over the crossrails.Then, Dana had him canter the crossrails in both directions,and for the rest of the lesson,Dana worked with Jeremy on postion over the crossrails.When the lesson was done,Jeremy walked out Bay and then untacked and groomed him.Finally,He and Jade said bye to Dana and they left for home.Dana then went to give Jasmine a jumping lesson.
