Subject: A quick thought

(Shortly after Pete talks with Nightmare, he is seen running frantically around the XWA arena with a tape in his hand. He comes up to one of the crew members.)

Pete: Have you seen Karnage anywhere around?

Crew Member: Yeah, he's in his locker room I think.

Pete: Thanks a lot!

(Pete takes off down the hallway. The camera follows him to Karnage's dressing room door.)

Knock Knock

What?

Karnage, it's Pete. I wanted to know if I could talk to you?

Karnage: I guess so. Come in

(Pete opens the door and walks in. Karnage is seen sitting at a desk in the locker room with his head in his hands.)

Pete: What's wrong? You ok man?

Karnage: I'm just a little torn about Wednesday night. I swear I could kill Biggs for this one.

Pete: Well that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I wanted to know how you felt about that.

Karnage: Shitty! I don't want to do it. Nightmare is my friend. I don't want to fight him. I look up to him. And it just dosen't seem right for us to fight each other.

Pete: I know what you mean.

Karnage: Biggs is only doing this cause he is afraid of both of us. It's bullshit!

Pete: Wow! It looks like you really don't want to do this at all.

Karnage: I don't. Not at all.

Pete: Who would've thought Karnage has a soft side.

Karnage: WHAT!?!?

(Karnage jumps up and gets in Pete's face.)

Karnage: SO you think I'm soft huh? You think I'm a scared little boy?!?

Pete: NO! Not at all. I know you are a bad man. I'm just suprised to hear you say that you don't want to go through with a fight.

Karnage: This is a little different you tubby bastard. Nightmare is like my best friend here. I don't want to be forced to fight him. And I know he feels the same.

Pete: Well.....

Karnage: What? What are you saying?

Pete: I just talked to Nightmare a little while ago and he said......well here. You have a VCR in here?

Karnage: Yeah. It's over there.

(Pete goes over to the VCR and puts in the tape of Nightmare's interview. Karnage sits down in disbelief at what he is hearing. When the tape is over, Pete shuts the TV off.)

Pete: Still don't want to fight?

Karnage: Is that real? He really said that?

Pete: Afraid so.

Karnage: That son of a bitch! Well this changes everything. So Nightmare thnks he could just roll over me like I'm some jobber? He thinks that I'm just a push over? Better then ME?!?! HE must be crazy! I'm the newest hottest talent in the XWA. He is the one who asked me to team up with him. Not the other way around.

Pete: It's amazing how much a persons attitude can change. So I guess it's safe to say that you're going into this match with the intention of winning?

Karnage: You're Damn Right! I'm going to step into that ring on Wednesday night and show Nightmare who the real dominate force in the XWA is! I'm going to put him through a world of hurt that he has never seen. He thinks he is just going to plow through me like I'm nothing! Well he's got another thing coming. He calls himself a mysetry? What a crock of shit! The only mystery is how many teeth will I leave in his head when I'm done!

Pete: Well I think that's my cue to leave. I'm getting out of here. I'll see you on Wednesday night Karnage.

(Pete walks out of the room with a huge smile on his face. Karnage is seen in the background furious about what has just went on. The door closes and the scene ends.)
