I always try to be honest, *he says slowly,* and I'm gonna keep trying. *He swallows hard and then continues, his hands still holding her upper arms.* I don't know if I can manage just being your friend, and seeing you totally, like, flirting with another guy and stuff. *He pauses and stares out the window, then looks back into her eyes.* But I can try. And I will. If I start kind of avoiding you, you'll know it's just me having my own little problems, goin' on my own little trip, kind of. *He squeezes her arms and lets go. Finally he mutters,* Guess I just moved to slow, huh?
