No, that's a very valid question. It's not so much what we DO it's what we believe. It really is a religion although most prefer to call it spirituality because of the rigid strictness that the word "religion". We believe that no religion is wrong....the way I like to explain it is there are many different roads from Georgia to California, destination is the same it's just a matter of which road suits your driving needs best. Also, contrary to popular belief, we do not "recruit", that would really take away from the belief that no religion is wrong. Witchcraft is all about nature. It takes BOTH male and female to have balance and this is why we believe there has to be a God AND a Goddess. I won't go into it all here because my fingers would surely fall off from all the typing lol! Rest assured, we don't have drug induced orgies or kill small children and animals. Some, however, do have ritual skyclad (nude) but that's their way of being as close to nature as they can get. I, myself, am way too modest to either do that or even see it but, then again, that's my choice. Ritual itself is just like going to church on Sunday for other religions, it's our way of honoring the God and Goddess. As far as the devil... we believe that there is no such being, it was created by those who couldn't take atone for their own actions and they needed a scapegoat. Everything bad we do we must pay for ourselves, hence the phrase,"what goes around, comes around". There is one thing with Wicca that we all try to live by and that is "Do as you will, yet harm none"
I hope I answered your question...I know I went on and on but I wasn't really sure what you were asking and.... I was on a roll! lol
Light Love and Laughter!
