This is what I have observed over the last many years. We mind more about our own wellfares and mind no other businesses. This was clearly reflected in our recent election in the Vancouver area - many Chinese just couldn't be bothered to go to vote and then they mourned about the outcome of who got elected!!! I am not a political person but speaking from the humanity side, we need to stand up and voice what we believe. Another example was when I was working at the Manulife oriental office with a bunch of Hong Kong immigrant agents, I was the only one who recycled paper. All the others just threw their paper straight in the rubbish bin (even though there was a recycling bin) without even thinking of the precious forrest and our next generation. They laughed at me when I encouraged them to recycle paper and they only thought about how the make more commissions. We are guardians of our world and everyone should have our responsibilities living in this world. Putting aside religions and beliefs, our Jesuit upbring from Wah Yan teaches us to serve and care and to be humble - there were many living examples to say the least. YOU GUYS! WAKE UP! THIS IS ALL ONE WORLD WE'RE LIVING IN AND WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT. there is a war going on already that everyone's battling. animals are being endangered AND extinct! in ONE generation, GORRILLAS will be extinct if we keep living this way. READ BOOKS, the most important thing is, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. i'm looking so hard for a recycling area, and it is so hard to find in hong kong! in america, i walk down the street and there is one! please, do something if you believe in it.
