He asserts his premise from the beginning, follows through on it throughout and the piece actually gains momentum through the play on words which cleverly relate back to each other while never becoming a gimmick. Obama just threw Wright under the bus. So much for staying loyal to your friends. This saddens me. For two reasons. 1.) Here is the man who was your spiritual advisor for 20 years. He marries you. And once it's politically opportunistic to do so, you stab him in the back. 2.) It further demonstrates what a phoney Obama is. I believed in him initially but it just goes to show (really show now) that all politicians are phoneys. Somebody send that memo to the credulous college crowd. Jon Stewart could read it to them on his show. Obama is in the cross fire now and if the Dems don't nominate Hillary then the country better get used to 4 more years of the Republicans. He is fucked. Either he's the hypocrite who sat in Wright's looney bin for 20 years or he's a guy who can't stand with his friends. The GOP will brand him as both. I can get used to 4 more years of the GOP.
