Just for the record, my comments of "when I first met him" and also "having some training issues" was not intended to disrespect Gordo. I still like that dog. I like him a lot to be honest. I am not concerned about what anyone thinks about me giving Gordo props where he deserves them because the truth is the dog has earned his right to be "patted on the back" so to speak.

Also, you did an excellent job with a mastiff type breed given SchH was your goal and given your previous experience with herders and general lack of working with molosser type breeds. No one can take that away from you. You invested a lot of sweat and determination to accomplish what you did.

My reason for saying what I said though was because I have never been really into K9 sports...so, on that note I noticed Gordo was just more "goofy" and not as intense as many mastiff type dogs would be while doing non-sporting PP work. Gordo did well IMO, but he didn't display the "seriousness" about the work that is seen in PP. BUT PLEASE DON'T GET ME WRONG...he had no reason to. Your goal was SchH and your training was done with that goal in mind...and you did very well in that avenue...being you accomplished more with the Boerboel than had any other Boerboel owner.
