And just to add, if something goes wrong with a dog no matter what, the breeder should always be notified immediately to discuss the problem and let the breeder know what issues are being presented in the offspring produced.

How do people expect breeders to improve their stock if owners aren't going to communicate when there are problems?

Its the owners as well as the breeders responsibility to keep track of their dogs. I try my damnest to keep in contact and up to date on the pups that have left my home. Why, because I want to make damn sure what i'm producing or I'm doing it for nothing. I know few others that do the same and I applaud them for it. Its what a good breeder/owner relationship is all about!!!
