I rotate my foods because of an article in the WDJ that said no one dog food is 100% complete. WDJ does a lot of research on dog foods. It said if you rotate your foods you wont be feeding to much or to little of any one or more nutrients. If you read the ingredients list on the back of the different brands you will find vary nutrients and amounts. So by rotating foods it provides a more balanced diet. When you feed raw you need to vary the diet to accomplish the same thing. We eat a varied diet to keep it balanced. It made sense to me. I have been rotating foods for a while and it works fine for my dogs. They will eat what ever I give them and are happy to do so. I make the transition over several days so they don't get an upset stomach. Even if switching between formulas of the same brand. I did not/would not rotate puppy food.

As far as what the breeder feeds -- No offense to anyone, but my breeder gave me a 50# bag of adult food he has made especially for his kennel. My BB didn't gain weight, had the worst gas ever and you would of thought I had a small pony in the backyard instead of a pup, if you know what I mean, which is why she wasn't gaining any weight.

Everyone has an opinion on what works for them and their dogs. This is just mine. Take it all in Eryn and make your decision on what is best for you and your pup. Good Luck on whatever you decide to feed.
