I'm not getting into endurance anytime soon either. LOL. I only did it twice because a friend asked me train with her. I must say I did not particularly enjoy the experience! My QH was race bred. Although the mare was a full QH (not Appendix), her grandparents were Appendix that had their full QH papers and therefore the mare was also a full QH mare -- off the quarter mile track. She had blazing speed, but wasn't muscle bound like many QH's. I much prefer trail riding in a non-competitive environment. That way if the day is hot and humid, there isn't pressure to win! LOL. I had an opportunity to ride a Russian Orlov endurance champion who competed at the Pan American games a few years ago. That was fun!
