My Reflections On Stage 3:

The time for this part of the project flew past us very quickly. The team work is still strong. We did four interviews with the final prototype and found some good factors of our design while some that we had taken for granted, as easy and good features, were pointed out to us as being confusing. Our survey, this time I believe is not as thorough as stage 1 survey, but I think it did what it was supposed to do. Not all our actors actually belonged to the demographic, mainly because of time constraints. We did get some valuable information about the results of our test from the scripts that the note takers wrote. Li has done a fabulous job as our software developer. It is good to work in the team because we get to hear others’ point of view and observe the way in which others think and get appraisals about one’s approach instantly in the discussions. This itself has no doubt saved us a lot of iterative testing and re-designing. We are including this time, our competitive evaluation that compares the final prototype with available products with reasonably similar functionality available. After the tests, we have discovered things that were potentially problematic with the design, and have discussed a little bit about fixes and the tradeoffs accompanying them. All in all it was a productive two weeks. I wish we could see this whole process through and finally develop, THE player that our demographic would like to have.
