I think you are right , Tarak, "Pat"probably just didn't know you...
I think it feels very good for us, who have been sharing that particular experience for many years, to be able to "meet" again and exchange ideas with these "old friends". Even if at that time we did not really have the opportunity to communicate extensively (that's an euphemism) – just because, for instance, some of us were boys and some girls –, there is a form of closeness between us which is very difficult to find with our newer friends. Like a deep family feeling. There must be a sort of nostalgia for the old days, too (when we were young, enthusiastic and carried forward by an ideal which sincerely inspired us). As Swadhin was saying in one of his postings, in spite of all the new developments concerning CKG and the SCC, we can't forget that we had a great time.
Now we share the same need for reassessment. At different levels, we need to take a new look at ourselves which is not such an easy task. So the help of these special friends who alone are able to fully understand what we are going through because that is also their own experience, is precious.
And I have found a real wisdom is some of these old/new friends which I immensely appreciate and for which I thank them most sincerely.
Even if thousands of miles may physically separate us, the communication is there...
That is, to me, the main asset of this website (plus it allows me to polish my English).
Thank you Tarak and all of you who know I am thinking of you!
Subala
