Any audience member who was embarrassed should be more embarrassed to admit that! I don't think she expected to win, many girls that compete don't expect to actually win. For some girls pageants are a way to serve the community, promote a platform, and grow confidence. Kellie is an amazing girl, inside and out, with a strong platform and her talent was actually better than the current Miss MD! She worked hard and exuded confidence on the stage!! Maybe Miss Maryland should allow plus sized girls to choose a more modest suit. I'm sure she would have preferred something different but the contestants are required to wear the same suit!! Kudos to her for having the confidence to get out there and rock that bikini! To say plus sized women shouldn't win locals is terrible as they have just as much to add to not only the pageant system, but to their communities, and the world as a whole, as any other woman! Stop judging people by their size! Kellie was just as deserving to be on that stage as any of the other girls!!
