Whoever judged Miss Md this year should NEVER be invited to judge a state pageant again. On a 6-10 scale, Kathleen was a 6 (30%) in talent and a generous 7 (20%) in interview. Even if she was 10's in swimsuit and evening gown (and she certainly wasn't a 10 in swimsuit given that she didn't win a prelim), that still adds up to 57/75 (ignoring composite attributes) which is an average of 7.6 per category. You CAN NOT tell me that Distefano and Sullivan averaged less than 7.6 in each category. Either the pageant was rigged, or the judges don't know what they're doing. -- Miss Maryland Talk Board
