There is no diversity because Sherry prefers to keep things within Hagerstown and Cumberland. Thankfully we do have a few volunteers doing great work in the rest of the state but really the leaders need to be the ones forging contacts in the diverse Capital region as well as Baltimore. Subject: Does anyone else think that its weird that Hannah is still riding around in parades with a sticker that says Miss MD 2016 and doing appearances after relinquishing her title? Isn't this against the rules? I don't recall any of the other formers doing this! She is no longer Miss Maryland and whats even weirder is that she did it at the same parade as the current Miss MD. I feel bad for Kathleen, like give the poor girl her moment to shine. I would feel upstaged if I were in her shoes.

I believe they will all get very far in their lives. The ones that don't have their degrees have their own life experiences or personal reasons why they didn't get one. Some simply can't afford one. Who are you to look down on them for not having a degree? That doesn't take anything away from their intelliigence and at least they are not in student loan debt. Some of the most brilliant people in the world don't have their degrees because they caught on that having a degree is not the only way to success. Give me a break with this education nonsense and do something useful with your life, instead of working an average job and living an average, safe life.

It's one thing when a few Negative Nancy's complain on this board every year but something completely different when 80-90% of an audience are in complete shock at the results and even the judges appear confused. Yes Kathleen is a beautiful young woman but that was her only strong qualification. It was my understanding that MAO was more about the total package and.not just about a pretty face and hot body! I don't agree with bashing girls and name calling but in this situation something is definitely fishy!!! 4 out of 5 girls in the top were total packages and the one not nearly as qualified as the others wins.....very suspicious!!!

There's more to Maryland than just Cumberland and Hagerstown!! LOL!! Our leaders need to be staking claim and attracting contestants, sponsors, and volunteers from the DC area.
