While a contestant is in school they have what's known as dual eligability. It's an MAO rule. College housing ends when school ends and they have breaks through out the year, during all of which they are home, so you're looking at about a 50/50 split. Losing contestants is just another result of Sherry's manipulation, not their housing situation. She will not allow a contestant who attends college out of state to win the title (or attends college at all for that matter so she can keep the 10,000) so the smart women leave. -- Miss Maryland Talk Board
