Subject: Talent Author: me [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Sunday, September 09, 06:21:28am For the 2nd year in a row Maryland has sent a wonderful delegate to Miss America who unfortunately did not show the preparedness necessary to compete on the National stage. What gives? Either the judges chosen to select Miss Maryland or those individuals tasked with preparing Miss Maryland for Miss America are not doing their jobs correctly and should be replaced immediately. Talent is the heaviest category. Maryland is filled with talented women. We've got Peabody conservatory and also several prestigious universities with esteemed performing arts programs (Morgan, Maryland, Towson, etc.) why aren't these women being recruited? This year, the pageant turned the tables eliminated the swimsuit portion of the competition and upping the anty on Talent, now worth 50% of the score. And there were 50 other girls who had equally beautiful faces. So she got lost. Get with the program Maryland. The Miss Maryland Pageant is not Miss Maryland USA 2.0. No disrespect to Adriana, I know she is a lovely girl, but you continue to crown girls who are lacking in the heaviest area, you will never get the recognition.
