the sound of a screaming woman may be a bobcat, I have seen one, about the size of a house cat, and yet it does look a whole lot like the UK wildcat. they can jump up to 7ft high. they stalk deer and eat them. they can be as big in ky as a large dog. but.... in northern states, the bobcat can weigh up to 22 KG, which in conversion is probably at least 50 lbs. now imagine meeting up with a live one that big. it is about as big as a large German Shepard. your dinner to it then. as for black panthers, they do exist in east ky. my mother told me many years ago that up the hollow from their old house she had heard one, and seen the foot prints it left behind. so, they are similar to mountain lions, but of course, black. it is also the mascot of pikeville high school. they do exist really. be careful in forests.
