Subject: Vengeance HeAT (SmackDOWN! half) Author: Nightstalker [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 16:51:13 07/19/02 Fri Sunday Night HeAT Pre-Vengeance Edition *The HeAT theme plays as fireworks go off around the Vengeance set. It's a large V where the wrestler's enter with big monitors shaped like the RAW ones. There is some massive metal structures erected behind the set. The camera pans over the fans and then zooms in on Michael Cole and Mark Lloyd who are announcing for this special pre-Vengeance edition.* Cole: Welcome to Sunday Night HeAT on MTV on the eve of Vengeance. We have two huge triple threat matches on pay-per-view. The Women's Championship will be decided between the so-called pure and wholesome champion in Molly defends against the RAW challenger Jazz who won a match against Lita to qualify while on the SmackDOWN!? side Molly challenged the newcomer to the big leagues, Victoria. Also, the main event will have The Undertaker defending against the winner of last week's RAW main event 10-man tag team elimination match, Kurt Angle. The wildcard in that match in the other challenger who was one of the final two in the Inaugural SmackDOWN! Battle Royal, Chris Jericho. He also went on in the SAME NIGHT to beat The Rock in a Cage Match but we must mention that Eddie Guerrero was partially due to that victory. *Video package of The Rock/Eddie Guerrero feud followed by a visual of the matchup.* Lloyd: Also, tonight we have D'Lo Brown, Booker T, Rhyno and Christian in a four way match. The winner will meet Rob Van Dam for SmackDOWN!'s United States title. But remember, we have a huge main event tonight on HeAT. Kane will take on Triple H in a knock out, drag out fight. *Commercial break.* *Trust Company's "Downfall" is hyped by the announcers. We then see visuals for Brock Lesnar versus Test and X-Pac versus Scott Steiner with Test giving the boot to X-Pac twice on behalf of Steiner.* *Commercial break.* *Backstage Jeff Hardy is strumming his guitar. Matt Hardy walks up! D'Von Dudley is with him. Jeff hugs his brother and shakes D'Von's hand.* Jeff: Good to seeya man. I see you and D'Von have come to an agreement. Give Leviathan and the nWo hell. Matt: We will man. But yeah, you really took it to Dreamer last week. Excellent match. D'Von: oh you Hardy brothers, TESTIFY! Cole: Well it looks like PPV's are always a great time for old friends and family to reacquaint themselves. Also tonight we have RAW's Billy and Chuck challenging SmackDOWN!'s Sean O'Hiare and Mark Jindrak. On top of that we can't forget the submission match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Benoit. *Video package of Austin/Benoit. As soon as that's over the music kicks in. CAN YOU DIG IT, SUCKA?!?! Booker T makes his way down to the ring to a huge ovation. Rhyno soon follows and start to pound away on the 5 time WCW Champion. CHRIIISSTTIIIANNNN!!!!! Christian runs to the ring and is soon followed by D'Lo Brown who jumps in the ring and all four men are brawling.* Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to determine who will fight Rob Van Dam at Vengeance for the SmackDOWN! United States Championship *Rhyno and Booker T pair off as do Brown and Christian. Christian with a reverse DDT for 2. Rhyno ramps Booker into the turnbuckle. He mounts the corner and lays in some fist but Booker regains control and pulls Rhyno out of the corner and drops him in a Manhattan Drop. Rhyno down. Booker celebrates and hits a big knee drop. Meanwhile Christian is in control of D'Lo. Christian with an Unprettier but it's countered into a swinging neckbreaker for 2. D'Lo goes up for a missile dropkick but Christian kips up and hits one of his own in mid air. Christian finally connects on the Unprettier. D'Lo is eliminated after a quick 3 count is registered.* D'Lo Brown eliminated *Christian lays in the corner trying to get some rest as D'Lo Brown rolls out of the ring and exits to the back. He's dejected but the fans give him some applause for a job well done. Inside the ring Rhyno shoots for a Gore but misses. Booker T hits an Axe Kick and only gets 2! Christian is back to his feet. He lays in some shots to Rhyno and hits a high cross body of the ropes for 2. Rhyno goes for a suplex but Christian gets out of it and hits another Unprettier. Rhyno stands up soon after but very groggy. As soon as he recovers Booker T lands the Book End and gets the 3 count!* Rhyno eliminated *Booker T and Christian stare each other down. Before they can brawl though Rhyno gets up and Gores both men before retreating to the back. The referee begins the count.* 1. 2.. 3... 4.... 5..... 6...... 7....... 8........ *Both men slowly get to their feet. Booker goes for an Axe Kick, Christian ducks and nails a Spear! Both men down again. Christian gets up and grabs Booker. Christian with a sleeper reversed into a side suplex. Booker T gets up and nails the Spinaroonie! Christian gets up and nails the Unprettier. He goes for the pin. AND GETS 2! Somehow Booker has kicked out. Christian is undaunted though as he grabs Booker for the dour Unprettier of the match. Booker gets out though. Kick to the gut... AXE KICK! Christian up into the Book End! Booker T makes the cover. 1....2....3!!!!!!* Winner: Booker T *The crowd is on their feet as they get treated to another Spinaroonie.
