WWE Vengeance
SmackDOWN! Matches

Rob Van Dam versus Booker T - SmackDOWN! United States Championship

*Tazz and J.R. takes the headsets from Jerry Lawler and Paul Heyman who return to the back.*

J.R.: Well Tazz, Vengeacne has been a slobberknocker of a PPV so far with new Tag Team and Intercontinental Champions being crowned. But now we're ready to create a new title holder.

Tazz: Damn straight J.R. The United States title will be on the line next as The former 5 time WCW Champion Booker T will take on the Whole Damn Show, Rob Van Dam. I predict a rocketbuster.

*CAN YOU DIG IT, SUUCKKKAAA!!?!?!?!!???!! Booker comes out to his music and pyros and to a loud round of applause.*

*ONE OF A KIND!!!! Rob Van Dam makes his way out next to an equally huge ovation. He does the toke thumb point and the crowd chants along.*

*The referee holds up the new title bet. It looks a lot like the old WCW version with the SmackDOWN! logo on the side. It also has a blank nameplate. Both competitors slap the belt and shack hands as the bell rings to start the match.*

J.R.: As you all recall Booker T has to win an 4 man elimination match on HeAT so he may still be fatigued.

Tazz: Straight up J.R. That's why as much as I love the Bookerman, I have to go with RVD on this one. This is a huge one though. The last ever U.S. champ was Edge and tonight we reactivate the belt in a way only SD! can provide.

*RVD and Booker go for the test of strength. Booker ducks the lock up and goes right for the punching. RVD is backed into a corner so Booker switches to kicking. Reversed Irish whip by RVD and he follows but Booker moves out of the way in time. Drop toe hold by Booker. Drop kick by Booker. RVD bails outside. Booker follows. Booker bounces RVD off the security railing and rolls him back in. Fierce clothesline by Booker. Punches by Booker. Irish whip by Booker followed by a clothesline in the corner. Three back elbows to Booker in the corner. RVD with a spinning heel kick. He goes up for a split-legged moonsault but misses. RVD pulls himself up Booker's legs only to be punched back down. RVD blocks the punch and comes back with his own. Knee lift by RVD. Big boot by Booker. Booker ducks a clothesline and hits a shoulder block off the ropes. Followed by a clothesline and another back elbow. Body slam by RVD. Rolling Thunder by RVD and a cover but Booker gets the shoulder up before three. Knee lift by RVD as he sets up the jawbreaker. Booker escapes but gets an elbow in the face. Booker goes to pick RVD up but RVD grabs his feet and pulls him down. From that position RVD quickly cinches in the half crab. After much agonizing, Booker reaches the ropes. RVD goes for a clothesline but Booker hits an Axe Kick. Booker covers and RVD kicks out! They trade punches. RVD ducks the Book End and hits a spine buster. RVD sets up for the 5 Star Frogsplash but Booker kicks him in the head! Booker tosses him off the top. RVD back up and Booker goes for the Book End again. RVD nails some elbows to the head. He goes up for a hurricanrana but Booker turns it into a powerbomb! RVD gets up and falls into the Book End finally for the three count.*

Winner and NEW WWE SmackDOWN! United States Champion Booker T

*Booker nails a Spinaroonie and RVD shakes his hand after the match.*

Tazz: Hell of a match J.R. It was a tough battle but Booker pulled it out. Glad to see they were both good sports about the whole thing.

J.R.: For sure, good sportsmanship is hard to come by nowadays in this business. But now we have to segway to a battle. A HUGE battle. Jeff Jarrett is known for his emulation of Ric LFair over the years but ever since he returned to the WWE he's used guitar shot after guitar shot to one up the Nature Boy.

*Video package of Flair/Jarrett is shown as is the graphic for the next match.*

Jeff Jarrett versus Ric Flair

*Jarrett's music hits and the he comes to the ring in a Ric Flair robe! He's also carrying a guitar that he leaves at ringside. The crowd isn't impressed with his Flair walk.*

*Flair comes out to his pomp and circumstance in a REAL Flair robe. He does the real strut into the ring and Jarrett waists no time.*

*Flair works the arm to start, but Jarrett reverses to a headlock. Ric chops him down and clotheslines him, but Jarrett spinkicks him and clothelines him off the apron. They brawl by the tables, and Ric meets stairs, and they head back in. Jarrett elbow drops him off the top for two. Suplex gets two. Choking and chops follow, but Ric gets the a handful of chops of his own for two. Jarrett suplexes him for two. Clothesline gets two. Flair comes back with a fallaway slam and stalling suplex for two. Jarrett locks in the sleeper which turns into a chinlock by Flair! Jarrett elbows him, but misses the Stroke and Flair fights back. Jarrett cuts it off with a bulldog and powerbomb for two. Snap suplex and Flair goes up, but gets crotched. Jeff can't suplex him, but when Jarrett tries a dropkick, Flair rolls through for two. Jarrett keeps on him, but charges and hits the post. They brawl outside, where Jarrett catapults him into the ringpost and goes for the guitar shot. Flair ducks and brabs the guitar. Jeff begs for mercy but while Flair goes to hit him with the guitar the referee pulls it out of Flair's hands! The ref goes to sit the weapon down and Jarrett gives Flair a low blow! Jarret hoists Flair up and suplexes his through the announcer's table! He pulls Flair up and goes to the other table in a sadistic move but FLair hits his own ball shot and tosses Jarrett into the ring. Both men are vatigued. A suplex attempt by Flair is reversed to a DDT. Jeff readies to finish, but the Stroke is blocked and reversed to a Stroke by Flair. Flair is still wobbly from the DDT, though, and instead of covering he goes for a Figure 4 Leglock instead, which Jeff catches and turns into a one of his own, which Flair in turn reverses into his own Figure 4! Jarrett makes the ropes. Another submission attempt is reversed to a small package, but it only gets two. Stroke, but he can't cover because he's too tired. Ric nails him with the chops and a big elbow, which Jeff rolls away from. Jeff grabs the guitar again and throws the ref down when he tries to take it. Flair goes low again, takes the guitar and crashes it over Jarrett's head! Flair clears the debris and wakes the ref up to register the three count!*

Winner: Ric Flair

*The match is finally over and Flair celebrates only to get a beatdown by Jarrett and a Figure 4!*

*Backstage The Rock walks up to Austin who is finishing lacing up his boots. They stare each other down.*

Austin: What?

Rock: What? WHAT?! What's the matter with you? You stun the Rock not once but twice last week on SmackDOWN! and all you can say is what?

Austin: What?

*Austin pushes past The Rock and leaves for his match which is up next. The Rock looks pissed.*

J.R.: Well Tazz, there's something going on there. It has seemed like those two were on the same page but as history presents itself, they still have reasons to be made with each other and Austin venting his frustration on Rocky last week doesn't help matters.

Tazz: Oh yeah J.R. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. But now we've just had two big big matches from SD! and weren't ready for another. Austin and Benoit, someone's gotta tap.

*Video package of Austin and Benoit's recent rivalry.*

Chris Benoit versus Stone Cold Steve Austin - Submission Match

*The glass breaks and Stone Cold makes his way to the ring. He's a man possessed waiting for the next music rift.*

*Our Lady Peace chimes in in a matter of moments and Chris Benoit gets into the ring to a round of boos.*

*Lockup series to start, Austin tosses Benoit down to the shock of the Rabid Wolverine and the delight of the crowd. Benoit goes for the shoulder early, Austin makes the ropes. Back to the mat, where Austin bails. He gives Benoit the finger and does a few push ups on the outside. Back in, Benoit controls the mat and slams Austin down in a waistlock. He goes for the Crossface, Austin makes the ropes and bails. Back in, Benoit grabs a waistlock and they fall to the floor where Benoit locks on the Crossface but the ref tells him to break becuase submission can't count on the outside. Back in, Austin grabs a sleeper and gets only 2 drops of the arm before Benoit comes back with a few stiff shots and a rack of the eyes. Benoit works the knee with a pair of clips. He walks into a cross armbreaker, however, and Austin is stretching Benoit out. The Wolverine Machine makes it to the ropes though and Austin goes outside for a chair. Austin attempts to pound him with the chair but Benoit kicks it back in Austin's face. Austin is down and bleeding in a mess around the ring. Benoit deicdes to use this moment and gets a shoulderbreaker and more work on the shoulder. Austin grabs chair and clocks Benoit. Benoit is out, so Austin puts him in a Crossface! Benoit gets to the ropes and both men are bleeding everywhere. Backdrop suplex and Austin stomps Benoit to the floor and they brawl. Back in, Benoit backdrops him out and posts him. Austin sends him to the stairs, however, and locks in the Million Dollar Dream on the floor. Austin breaks it eventually and throws Benoit into the ring, Benoit blocks an armbar and makes the ropes. Austin grabs an abdominal stretch, reversed by Benoit. Benoit makes the ropes, but Austin snaps on a boston crab, drawing a huge pop from the crowd. Benoit gets to the ropes and gets out of the hold. Austin goes after him but Benoit reacks his eyes and pullls Austin into a Sharpshooter. Austin won't give. He pushes off and reverses the hold into a Sharpshooter of his own. Benoit is stuck in the hold but he grabs the chair and slams it backwards into Austin's head! A slugfest starts and Austin tosses Benoit. *Video package of The Rock and Eddie Guerrero with hilight's of Guerrero's frogsplash from the cage to give Jericho an important victory over the Great One.*

J.R.: Well it's heartbreaking to Austin lose but he had no choice but to protect his neck.

Tazz: Smart move by Austin in the long run but I know he wanted that victory something fierce. But now it's time for another huge match. Rocky tries to cool the Latino Heat, NEXT!

Eddie Guerrero versus The Rock

*LATINO HEAT! YO CHICA... Eddie's music hits and he gets booed pretty strong. He points to his titantron which now has clips of the infamous splash on it.*

*IF YOU SMMEELLLLLLL, WHAT THE ROCK, IS COOKIN'!!!! The Rock gets a huge standing ovation as he sprints to the ring and starts to take huge swings at Eddie.*

J.R.: Well The Rock is ready for-- my GOD! HE'S TAKING EDDIE TO THE WOODSHED!!!

*Rock whales on Eddie. Rock takes him down and they pound on each other. Eddie stomps away but Rock hits a kick to the groin and gets his own shots in. Rock with a clothesline and bodyblock for two. Belly to belly on the floor turns the tide for Rock, and a backdrop suplex follows. Back in, Eddie hits the top rope elbow for two.Rock grabs a Sharpshooter, but Eddie counters into the Lasso From El Paso! Rock crawls up, blocks another Gory Special 2000, and gets the Rock Bottom for the double KO. Rock crawls over for two. Half crab, but Guerrero is in the ropes. DDT from Rock, but the ref counts only two. Austin runs down to the ring out of nowhere! Meanwhile Rock kips up to beat Eddie to the punch and lands a spinbuster. Austin out as Eddie recovers, goes up top and nails the frogsplash! Eddie makes the cover and the new ref counts the three.*

Winner: Eddie Guerrero

J.R.: GOD ALMIGHTY! What the hell is Ausin thinking?!

Tazz: He's not thinking. And he better run. He may be the toughest S.O.B. in the WWE but the Brahma Bull is going to kick his ass when he comes to.

*A video clip hyping the main event comes up. It highlights Jericho helping Undertaker beat The Rock in a title match and Jericho subsequently winner the SmackDOWN! Brawl by finally beating Rock in a Cage Match with Eddie's assistance. Then it cuts to the DX vs. McMahon vs. Undertaker feuds. It shows Angle winning for him team last Monday and getting the title shot. Undertaker has his back to the wall but both Vince and X-Rodd are barred from ringside.*

J.R.: I don't know what Austin is thinking but we have to move on. Now Tazz, can you believe X-Rodd trying to get Foley or Valerie Vargus to interfer? That makes no sense. The boy is goofier than a pet coon.

Tazz: Damn straight J.R. Now it's time for the main event.

Finkel: The following contest is our main event. This match will be contested under triple threat rules, it is for the WWE Undisputed Championship and there will be NO disqualification.

J.R.: Since when?

Tazz: One of our four owners must have added that in. I have no idea who or why but it could make for an interesting contest.

*Angle is the first man to the ring followed soon after by Chris Jericho. The Undertaker hasn't even come out yet but these two men are already fighting!*
