Wanna let you guys know that I'm ready and setup for recording our songs. Wanna come tomorrow after the jamming session?

After things to note.

1) As I'm pretty new to recording/mixing, the quality of the output may not be very good. We'll just record afew songs and as we keep recording, we'll improve together.

2) Don't be optimistic. At most we can do 2 songs. If we're lucky, maybe 3.

3) Be prepared to feel like you're wasting time. We have 6 parts to record and each parts will need about 2 takes to get it right. 12 x 4min = 48mins for a 4 min song. Now, that's not pretty, yah?

4) The most difficult part is recording the drums, as it must be the first instrument to be recorded.

5) Jingfeng. I don't have keyboard. So unless you've already bought one, we will not be able to record your part... yet. And when you do get one, please have the cable for unbalance input to my multi-track.

6) Yaocheng, I have a pretty okay mic. You don't need to bring any. Unless you wanna. Actually, the mic is not pretty okay, its really... pretty "alright" only. =(

7) Joel. You may or may not wanna bring your bass. You can don't bring your effector.

8) Ronghui. You may or may not wanna bring your effector. I have not tried recording with my effector yet.

9) Guorong. As mention above... good luck. =)

10) House rule 1: No smoking in my room. =)

11) House rule 2: Please wash your feet and ensure overall cleanliness. =)

12) House rule 3: Don't break my bed.

I've spent a good part of today learning the equipment.... and recorded a demo for you guys... Its weiqi. The quality came out lousier than I hope after compressing it to 20kps MP3 (which is really lousy). Okay, okay... a large part of it is due to my lousy singing, lots of mistakes in instruments, and very bad mixing skills. =p

In your work plan, figure out a rough timing where we will be recording at my place. No need to be within the 2 weeks, as we may be really busy, just figure... =)
