Subject: Earthquake Exhibit

I have two sets of memories for the California Museum of Science and Industry. The first set are visiting during the 1984 Olympics. I really liked the Aerospace Hall with all the astronaut stuff.

The second set are from working on the new California Science Center's Creative World Gallery. I was more intrigued by the Earthquake exhibit. Here's a subject that can be very scary for kids and adults. And yet the kids would run to the earthquake simulator as soon as they heard the rumbling. We used it as a starting point for some of the CSC's Structures exhibits. In fact, we had to photograph a CMSI map of Southern California with the fault lines because it was literally a one of a kind.
