Connor gave a high-pitched keening noise and rolled over onto his side. The deep gashes down the sides of his ribs felt like burning fire on his body. But, his legs were going numb. Maybe that was because of the blood loss. The human looked down at himself and could only see the bright red liquid spilled across the floor. It surprised him that he wasn't dead. Why wasn't he dead?
Crux had settled down on his haunches, raising a paw to lick the blood off it in a bored manner. Their Master had left the high seats of the arena, stopped watching them play their little game with the chew toy. He was heavily framed, chorded with muscle covered a short black fur that at times wavered to blue in the bright light instead of white, absorbing instead of reflecting. He had a cropped tail, short though un-cropped ears, and a compact muzzle. If one was to name a breed most closely resembling him, it would certainly be the pit bull. Yet he was stockier, larger in size to the point of being comparable to most large cats. And his yellow eyes were just as calculating, just as piercing, and just as effective in the dark. Lucielle was closer to the piece of meat, red-pink tongue lolling outside of his blood-stained mouth. Unlike a normal canine, his teeth were pure white as if untouched by years of use. Panting lightly, he looked over towards his older brothers and yet not-brothers. Related and yet not related. They shared the same form, the same humanistic general appearance. Were crafted from the same ground. Yet had nothing of blood relation to speak of, nothing to say on the topic of knowledge of that sort. Creation. Like Ek'Nav, like many others like them. Not birth.
Rashne grinned at his two "brothers" and stopped his movements as soon as Crux had settled. Unnaturally in sync. This male was neither special, nor particular in his appearance from the other two. His frame, although smaller than Crux's, was quite large by itself, with black fur that seemed to ripple from the muscles underneath it. He grinned shamelessly at the piece of flesh in front of him and yawned, signifying his boredom. The human tried to sit up, but the sand got into his wounds more and the pain of it made him cringe. It wasn't any use in trying to stay stoic. "Please," he said, quietly. "I'm begging you..." The human had been reduced to this. How pityful. Rashne stretched out his back and gave another great yawn before sitting back and watching the odd human.
Lucielle's attention, though it had been distracted simply by the presence of his brothers, was moved back to the human as it spoke. Curiously he moved forward, head between his shoulder blades and out-stretched as his nose twitched. It wasn't like they didn't do this fairly often, it was perhaps just a mood over the younger one. Crux's eyes flicked back towards Lucielle briefly before catching onto Rashne, snorting and rising, then moving slowly off towards the exit of the pits. Their quarters, for now, were directly connected. Convenience. And it kept them away from the other members of the mansion. Crux wasn't stupid.
Rashne stood a bit and glanced at his youngest brother, rather curiously. Not really caring about the matter, he followed Crux towards their rooms. It was rather convenient. Plus, basking in the pits warmth always felt good. Connor hadn't expected one of them to come towards him. Damn. They were planning on killing him them. The human couldn't help flinching away from the approaching form, and even that sent pain receptors to fly to his brain. He let out a gasp and froze where he was. If he didn't move, then maybe it'd go away. Maybe it'd let him die in peace.
As Crux crossed out of the sandy arena towards their living quarters, stepping onto stone, he shifted into his human form. Tall for his age, with medium-length black hair and pale, though not unnaturally so, skin. He didn't miss a step, shadows overwhelming his long-sleeved black shirt and black pants as he moved down the stairs towards their quarters. Above ground, Lucielle's nose was extended to touch the human's shoulder in mute curiosity. Yet, as he did this, his eyes fell onto the retreating backs of his brothers. Anxiously, he whined, calling out for them to wait.
Connor flinched back from the cold spot on his shoulder. He whimpered almost at the same time that the thing above him made a sound. The human wasn't paying any attention to that, though. "Please," he breathed again. He brought his arms up to cover the exposed flesh of his face. Connor wasn't scared. Not at all. Rashne stopped in his tracks to look back at the youngest of the three. Shrugging, he dismissed the youngster and continued to follow his older brother. Also shifting, he stood at a medium height with short cropped black hair like Crux's. Although slightly smaller than his older brother in size, he wasn't any less intimidating. Stretching the blank tank top that covered his body, Rashne caught up with Crux and grinned, sending strong vibes his way. Coyly smiling, his mind rang from the after-math of the blood lust. He wore black pants.
Lazily, Crux's still-yellow eyes drifted to the side to catch Rashne's own. He snorted faintly - and there was mocking in it - before continuing his way down the steps and into darkness. They did, however, have the luxury of a skylight over a large basking rock - the skylight being the area where the ceiling had collapsed and the perfect basking rock being the ceiling. There was a desk and a bowl chair towards one side of their cave dwelling. A hallway lead off towards some natural hotsprings that were divine for bathing, which was exactly the thought that slipped towards Rathne, and the majority of the other side of the room were the recessed, cushioned, and massly pillowed bowl-like bed. Just one giant one for all three to share.
Lucielle seemed at a loss for a moment, then moved his nose slightly to run his tongue over the other's raised forearm. "Don't be like that," his calm, sweet voice urged, slipping out of that horrible maw.
The voice that came to his ears now that he was paying a little bit more attention was so....sweet...and young, too. So, this devil was just mocking him? Connor attempted to drag himself backwards with the arm that was more functional than the other. But, it still pained him to move. "Please don't kill me," another whisper said. "Mmmm, that sounds good," Rashne said outloud to his brother. Snatching up his brother's hand playfully, he quickly kissed the palm and then danced away to gather towels and other supplies.
Lucielle followed him fluidly, stepping so a paw was in front of his shoulder - preventing any more backward movement. He licked a bit more at the hand before speaking again. "I don't plan on it, but you'll do it yourself if you keep being silly like that."
A sly smirk slid onto Crux's face, though he wasn't so much into Rashne's prancing around like a pup. He kept his straight line to the bathing room, shirt, pants, socks, shoes, and finally underwear finding their way onto the floor as he progressed.
Connor jerked at the feel of the canine's tongue on his skin. It wasn't like he could do anything about it, so the human stilled. A whimper somehow managed to find its way to his throat though. He leaned back against his arms for support, and they soon began to shake, though not from exertion.
Rashne hurried down the long tunnel and hopped around the hallway to pick up after Crux. Soon catching up with the older male while carrying towels and a various assortment of clothing, Rashne looked around for a dry spot to put the towels. Tossing the dry items in a pile in the corner of the cavern, the younger male began to shimmy out of his clothing and fold it neatly.
Crux, while Rashne seemed to bounce around like a fool, eased into the pool and glided over to one of the submerged seats. He settled in, water rising up to his ears, sighing lightly. Warmth dominated his thoughts in that instant, comfortingly. "Are you going to keep acting like an imbecile, or are you actually going to join me?" It wasn't so much snide as it was inviting, bordering, maybe, on pleading.
Slowly, carefully, Lucielle laid down. He managed it, somehow, so that his weight was mostly off the other. It was something that he and his brothers would do, a comforting gesture - or at least it was supposed to be. "Please don't be scared of me. My brothers and I aren't always like this. You did something very bad."
Rashne frowned a little at the comment about his actions. He slowed his actions even more and turned away from the other shifter. "I like to keep my things neat and orderly. If you want me to join you so badly, then come get me." Secretly, Rashne was thrilled that Crux might come after him. Smiling mischeviously, the younger shifter set about straightening the towels.
Connor yelped, half expecting to be chomped on by the canine. He twitched once, and still held his body stiffly, but didn't make any other noise. His arms gave out though, and he landed heavily on his back. Connor's head spun now and there was no other way around it. "Can you help with my wounds?" God, it sounded so weird to be asking the creature that nearly killed him to take care of him.
Crux made a small noise of displeasure, his thoughts spoiled for the moment. "I'm not getting out of this water, and you'll be damned if you went this far to not yourself." He rested his head back on the rim of the pool, eyes closing.
Lucielle's small stump of a tail waved, the odd idea of his new pet shuttling off to his brothers in a less-than perfect thought. In the same instant, he had pressed his nose into the human's neck, nuzzling lightly. "Yes, of course." If my brothers approve.
Pouting, Rashne went to trying to make as much commotion as possible, splashing and sloshing the water on the floor around. Although the temperature was a bit hotter than normal, he sulked and made a big show of his displeasure. Mind racing with thoughts when he saw Crux's eyes closed, Rashne nearly flew through the air as he attempted to create the biggest mini-tidal wave he could. Connor, who had been relaxing, suddenly stiffened again. He dropped his chin to guard his throat. "Could you not do that? It's unnerving." Not to mention dangerous to his life if the shifter got angry and decided to pull out his throat. The human shuddered a moment and then accepted his fate. Hey, as long as he wasn't dead. Rashne, in mid-air, sighed as the thought came to him and he knew that Crux would open his eyes. Dammit, his surprise was ruined.
Crux's eyes did indeed open, though he had been expertly ignoring Rashne thusfar, and he sat up to make the wave ineffective. Yellow eyes locked onto Rashne in that instant, questioning. Rashne plunged into the water and emerged from the water looking disgruntled. He met Crux's eyes and immediately starting speaking. "It's good that he has something to, I guess. It'd better that he grow up more."
Crux snorted lightly, though he passed along the word for Lu to hurry up and get him inside and to the water. Sand in those wounds would bury quickly and cause infection. To Rashne, he reached out a hand. "Now, come on." Lucielle licked again at Connor's neck, happy at his brother's agreement. With another swish of his tail, he stepped forward and turned around to look at him from above. "Can you stand?"
Rashne sighed in disappointment. "And here I was looking forward to just messing around." Grasping the male's hand, he hauled himself up and carefully made his way towards the pile of dry items. Getting himself and Crux a towel, he made his way back to his brother and handed him a towel, sending him his displeasure in waves. Connor shook his head, about the only thing he could do. The harsh bits of sand dug into his scalp and back. The heat made him drowsy and his words were sluggish. "I'm too tired. I don't even think I could sit up..."
Crux looked on in wonder, a smirk snagging the edge of his face as he neared. Disregarding the towel, he grabbed Rashne's forearm and pulled, trying to drag the other into his embrace. "I didn't mean like that."
Lucielle snorted, hunkering back down in the sand and sidling around to the side of Connor. In one fluid movement, probably faster than the human could follow, he had wedged himself under him in the sand and hefted him up onto his broad-shouldered back. He froze after the moment, ushering a few words to comfort the human and to make sure he wasn't going to slip.
Rashne gasped as he was pulled forward. The towels, now pressed between them, his his smirk. "After, you promise?" Kissing the other male's exposed collar bone, he waited for an answer. Connor gasped from surprised and did the only thing he was capable of: grasping onto the fur underneath him. "I-I'm fine," came the confirmation. "Go right ahead."
Lucielle tried to look over his shoulder at the human, then realized that it was futile. He set himself to moving slowly, steadily, forward. "It's nice and cool inside, not like out here. And we'll have to get you cleaned up. That's hot water though." Crux pressed his nose into Rashne's hair, breathing in deep. He didn't want to wait, not for some scrap of a plaything his brother was dragging in. "Before I say," he whispered it, half-sensually, into Rashne's ear.
Connor just continued to nod, even if the shifter couldn't see him. His stomach clenched in fear at the thought of going towards those other two. This one seemed a bit compassionate at least. Those other two were cold, in his mind. Rashne grinned and nipped at Crux's ear. He growled playfully and licked some remaining flecks of blood from the older male's jawline. "God, I don't think I can wait." Half in his mind, he felt Lu approach and nearly scowled, but that would have ruined the moment.
"Just drop the towels." He backed up as he spoke, tugging at Rashne's arms as he slipped into the deeper section of the spring. There was no reason to stop just because of Lucielle's approach, even with his chewtoy. It never stopped them before. His yellow eyes were alive, seeping at the moment. He sensed the fear, but didn't know its source. "You don't need to be afraid. We'll take good care of you now that you're ours. We only had to punish you for what you did to our Master." It was amiable, idle chatter for Lu, but it must've meant something for the human on his back. Probably.
Rashne obeyed and the towels slipped into water, getting wet. Well, there goes my dryness after this, Rashne thought. But only for an istant. In a moment, his mind was occupied with Crux. He allowed himself to be led forward and quivered in anticipation. Connor began to relax. The gentle swaying motion relaxed his tired body, and only when there was a sudden movement did the human have to grab onto the canine's fur. Again, Connor nodded into Lucielle's back. So that meant his slate was clean again? Possibly.
Lucielle headed down the steps very slowly, ignoring the bit of sand that he tracked in due to not shifting. He simply couldn't risk dropping the poor human on the stairs and busting his head open. Even as he moved inside, he sensed the preoccupation of his brothers. Lucielle, however, thought nothing of it. "This is where we live, for the most part." It was saying something for them to have private quarters as far as Lu was concerned. He headed slowly towards the pile of cushions in their sunken bed.
He reached out, wrapping strong arms around Rashne's wasit and pulling him in close. He bowed his head over his brother's shoulder, licking and nipping at flesh as he rocked his hips gently. "Mmm. You know that I love you, right?"
Connor glanced out the corner of his eye to watch as the dark cavern slipped by. He mumbled something about it being a nice place, but went back to his half-concious-half-unconcious state. Rashne let his head drop back, his breath sucked into his lungs. "More than either of us can express, of course." The younger male shivered, mind already jumping ahead by a few minutes. He set his hands on Crux's shoulders and steadied himself. "And I'm going to love you more after this."
Crux smiled, kissing the bit of flesh that he could reach before his hands shifted down on his brother's body. Hunching forward, he cupped under Rashne's behind and gently pulled up, encouraging his brother to make the next move of wrapping legs around his waist. The water always made this more interesting, more able to do certain things. Though it likewise meant some changing and shifting in due time. Crux's eyes were half-lidded, pleasure seeping out slowly.
Slowly he settled the human onto the comfort of the pillows, shifting after being relieved of that burden. "Just stay put right here. I'll be right back with a little something for you to eat." He paused, wanting to make sure that he was alright before he left.
Rashne complied, quite quickly and put his legs around his brother's waist, releasing his shoulders to float in the water. The male relaxed and his breathing made his body rise and fall in the current they were giving off. Sending a quick request to Crux for a squeeze, Rashne caught his breath a moment.
Crux obliged his brother's request, moving them both through water and back towards the seat to give something for Rashne to hold onto and brace himself against as his hands pusled a bit in compliance. As soon as he was near enough to be sure that one hand would support his brother fully, he pulled the other around and wrapped his fingers deftly around Rashne's length, giving it a loving stroke as he pushed himself into his brother easily.
His back hit the edge of the seat and he let out a shuddering gasp. The rocky ledge pressed into the skin and made a raw spot there. He locked his legs around Crux's waist a little tighter and pressed him forward. "Crux...what about...Lu?" He was panting by now. His body made a lunge forward to try and taste his brother's skin.
The shifter pressed against his brother, breathing in raggedly through his nose in the motion. He didn't want to talk about his youngest brother and his pet right now, and made that very clear with a small growl and some rather muddled thoughts and emotions towards Rashne. This was about them, after all.
Rashne cringed at the pattern of thoughts and focused upon the attention of his brother. Reaching his brother's arm from his lunge, he gave a few quick tugs at it to ask for its release and control. That didn't need any thought-speak. If Crux did relinquish control of his limb, Rashne would turn the palm upwards and kiss it, like he had earlier.
The thoughts faded once their meaning was interpreted, fading into calmer and much more interesting waters. As Rashne reached for his arm, Crux easily and willingly relinquished it to accept the kiss. He smiled lightly then at his brother's oddness. Then again, his own proclamation of love was also odd, but that didn't keep his attention long. He kept his physical pace up, working through things as he normally did.
Rashne jerked forward at the first signs of the increasing, if only relentless, pace. Crux was all about consistency, consistency, consistency. At least, the pace was. It wasn't that he was uncomfortable, but he'd rather have it fast and rough. Which was probably the reason he loved Lucielle so much; there was no way that their younger brother could say no to either of them. The younger male grunted and held his brother's hand close to his heart, feeling the pulse even through to his fingertips. Faster, thought his mind to his brother's. Faster, harder.
Crux grumbled lightly in his throat, though he certainly obeyed Rashne's request, lining it with a groan. His hand clutched in his brother's chest tightened, fingernails scraping across flesh. Sure, consistency was good, but sometimes it was nice to let loose. Especially in light of the new toy his youngest brother had brought home. It promised trouble that could, perhaps, cut their time shorter than usual - not something he looked forward to.
The feel of hard nails biting into his skin felt good for the time being. Rashne bared his teeth in a non-threatening way. A groan from somewhere in his chest escaped him and he pulled at the arm of his brother, trying to pull him forward more. Rashne was on the brink. Hurry, his mind said now. Close. So close.
He squeezed his hands even more, pressing himself deep into his brother in his own, final thrust. It was quick business for these two, especially with time pressed by the youngest. He gasped as he came, air rushing out of his lungs with a small vocalization to accompany it. He was panting quickly afterwards, eyes partially lidded again with satiation with the faintest of smiles on his lips. He leaned forward now, trying to kiss Rashne's mouth.
He came after his brother, that seeming to always have been the pattern. Thankfully, they didn't have to get clean since they were so close to the springs. His was a softer exclamation. But, there was a fiercer need on his side of the kiss. Rashne ravished his brother's mouth, seeming to want it again from his end of his body.
Parting his lips with an nearly submissive nature, he allowed Rashne to take as he would for a few moments before clamping down his teeth and releasing shortly - he wasn't one for this type of kiss, but would allow Rashne for a few moments at least. "Mmm, we need to put clothes back on. The dirty ones - they're just going to get bloody."
Rashne growled a little at the end of his turn. It always seemed that he got cut from the good profits. Pouting a little and releasing his brother, he unlinked his ankles and waited for his brother to step back.
Pulling backwards and out, Crux gave another small groan before taking a moment to recover himself. Then he moved towards their clothes, stepping out of the water. "What are you waiting for?" he shot over his shoulder, though there was a brief smirk on his face. It was all in good jest, though they did need to get moving.
Rashne closed his eyes while Crux pulled out of him and tried not to let out the little whimper that threatened to escape him. It took more than a few moments to recover himself and he felt the water slosh around as his brother exited the warmth. His face flushed red, Rashne replied "Nothing," before wading towards the edge of the pool towads the clothes. Stepping next to his brother, Rashne looked down at his filthy clothes in disgust. "Give me clean clothes over these any day." But he began to put them on, nonetheless.
It probably took Crux longer to change his clothes, simply because of the haphazard way in which he'd drop them.

It was about this time that Lucielle, having shifted into his black-haired small-in-stature human form came into the bathing areas from the hallway, looking a bit sheepish as she approached his brothers. He knew that he wasn't always a part of their games, but at times he felt left out because of it. Yet know, he had something else to worry over. Gently he ushered his feeling of discomfort and confusion to them. He wasn't certain what to do with the human to preven tit from dying on him.

Crux pulled his clothes on without a second thought to the bloodied pieces of cloth, eyes ot yet meeting Luc's even as his brother's thoughts came to him. He glanced over at Rashne shortly before righting himself and walking towards Lucielle. The little one reached out and took Crux's unoffered hand from him, and the pair waited for Rashne to catch-up. Crux's mind was made-up on what it was that they were going to do, and he fully expected that Rashne would comply. It was only fair to give the youngest his own toy, something to help him grow a little one as Rashne had put it.

The middle brother took a bit longer to get back into his clothes. Although the bloodied pieces weren’t too bad, the soggy wet feeling that they had (when the clothing had drifted into a nearby puddle) didn’t comfort him. Blinking up at the pair, young and old, Rashne grinned sheepishly in an apology and slid into his pants all the quicker.

Sighing at Crux’s plans for what to do, Rashne felt little happiness for the little one; in fact, he was a bit jealous. Pushing that aside into the dark corners of his mind (for he didn’t want to make either mad at him over something that trivial), the male caught up with both of them and slung an arm over one of their shoulders. Giving Crux’s a squeeze and leaning over to kiss Lucielle’s forehead, it felt good, being a member of this family. His family.

Lucielle simply smiled back at Rashne, blissfully ignorant of any ill-feelings that he might have been hiding. Warmth swelled up in him as Rashne kissed his forehead, his smile brightening all the more. His largest fears, of his brothers not accepting Connor or disliking his choice, were quickly dissipating. "He's in our bed now," and he sent the picture of where and how he had left Connor to the pair, using it as support for what he had said.

Though perhaps not as ignorant of Rashne's true perceptions as Lucielle, if one wanted to hide something from the others it was at times almost too easy. Crux noted the fleeting jealousy, but determined it was more for Luc's interrupting and cutting short their fun. He returned the squeezed hand, leaning over after Rashne had righted himself from kissing Lucielle on the forehead to press a small, encouraging one of his own onto Rashne's cheek.

"Perhaps he should be conscious before we try to clean him up too much?" He didn't want to drown Luc's toy, and at the same time he wasn't entirely sure what to do either. Caring for that which wasn't of his own flesh and blood - like Rashne and Lucielle - was not something he had ever really bothered with. He let his own thoughts of doubt filter through exclusively to Rashne, hoping the other would have a better idea of what to do.

Rashne murmured soft agreement in response to Crux's suggestion. He leaned into the kiss and his mind raced. It would be better to clean everyone up; it wouldn't do to try and fix the chewy-toy up with said-toy's blood and guts splattered all over their clothes. He sent Crux a "I told you we needed clean clothes" thought along with his plan. To Lucielle, there were only comforting vibes. Rashne was just that talented.

He flicked random flecks of dried blood off his clothes and aired out his wet hair with one hand, shrugging. "It might be better if he were unconcious so he doesn't go into shock. We did tear him up; it'd be best if he didn't associate his blood with us."

A smile dragged up the corners of his mouth when Rashne pushed into his small kiss, hoping that the slight sign of affection towards his brother would help to lighten any jealousy he might have had for their attention shifting onto Lucielle and his toy. It was for the benefit of the younger one, and it wasn't for Rashne to be upset over. In the long run, it would benefit them all of course.

As Rashne suggested to go ahead and clean up the human, the eldest nodded slowly in agreement. If that was what should be done, then there was no reason not to do so. "Luc, why don't you go fetch all of us a change of clean clothes, towels, bandages, and some soap. And make sure that you get something that your pet can wear, too." He patted the youngest on the head, effectively sending him off as he mentally let Rashne know they'd go ahead and move the human into here.

Lucielle waited patiently beside his brother as the two seemed to think things over before Rashne spoke. He agreed with a small noise, and then listened attentively to Crux's directions. Once dismissed with something to get done, he scampered off down the hallway rather eagerly.

Rashne sighed when Lucielle disappeared down the hallway. In a whisper, he spoke. "I'm sorry. I just don't know what's going to happen to us if someone new comes in." The middle male opened his mind to the older male and the hurt and sorrow came spilling out. There was a true fear in him that the three of them would be split up, a major concern. Swallowing the thick lump in his throat, Rashne's eyes started to overflow before he swatted at them with his hand, effectively saving face. Men don't cry. Hellhounds most definitely do not cry. "I'm alright," he said before Crux could say anything. Once again composed and "normal", the shifter felt somewhat lighter for having shared his burden. It was damn hard to try and keep all that stuff bottled up, you know.

He hadn't seen Rashne's breakdown coming like this, and was almost taken aback by it. Even as Rashne was recomposing himself and telling Crux that he was alright, the older shifter was moving closer and wrapping his arms around him. If he wasn't resisted, he pulled the younger one to him and kissed his head reassuringly. Pressing his head into Rashne's hair, he held him close as he spoke through their minds. "This will make us closer, and stronger. It will give Lucielle someone to grow up on, and something to do when we're busy." He kissed the top of Rashne's head, deciding to continue holding him until he was sure the other was alright. There were advantages to knowing each other so well that excelled far beyond the simplicity of the arena fights.

His composure held for just another minute before Rashne gave a small sniffle. Wrapping his arms around Crux's back, he pressed his face against the taller male's chest. It felt nice to be protected for once, assured that everything would be fine. He wanted very badly to say 'thank you', but that just didn't seem to cut it. 'Thank you very much' didn't sound any better. Instead, Rashne did the only thing that was, in his mind, the equivalent to it; he opened his mind fully and wholly to Crux. Leaning his head forward, Rashne relaxed and his arms fell away from Crux's body. "I'm better," he said, aloud. There was no need to, however. There was a fully-blown open connection between the two of them; not just blown-open, but blown up with an overkill of TNT. My, how eloquent.

Crux continued to hold Rashne through his little episode, whispering as much as he could of soothing phrases towards the other. His mind folded at first under the intimate relationship that Rashne offered him, and then his own opened entirely for the other - though without the fireworks. He gave Rashne a squeeze with his own arms, nuzzling his hair with his face even more. No, his brother didn't need to say anything at all now for Crux to know. There wasn't any need to pass anything across to the other now - they would just know. Know to an extent that they had almost had, but never quite. There weren't any secrets now, no room for them. Their minds were, though able to act separately, the same.

"You don't ever need to worry, Rashne. Our family is always going to be together." He kissed his brother's head again, sighing lightly. And it wasn't a lie - it was something that Crux believed, knew, with all his heart and soul. At least, with all that he had.

Rashne stood, silently, enjoying the feel of being the same, but different, person in two bodies. Although slightly unnerving, it was comforting to think that his other half, the one he'd spent the entirety of his existence with, was here. It just felt right.

Fearing that he would end the moment too soon, Rashne felt the thought slide away from him and into the being next to him. Okay, it was slightly more than unnerving; this was weird. Moving to link his arm with Crux's, the double sensation tickled his body.

Slowly, he released Rashne. It was a little strange, feeling for more than one person, but Crux figured that it was just something else to get used to. And that one day, it would be three people that they would be feeling for. Despite these emotions, they did have something they needed to do.

"We need to get that human moved in here. Best to have him stripped and in the water before Lucielle gets back." He kept his mouth shut, but the thoughts still came across. He didn't want Lucielle to be upset if they were too late, or if the human cried out.

Rashne made a face somewhere between aprehension and worry. Still, he made his way for the main cavern. Looking down at his clothes, he saw that they were in decent condition; not enough blood to stand out, and clean as to not appear dusty. It still made him nervous that there were going to be keeping the human they had nearly just slaughtered. It wasn't their job to take care of all the strays, but somehow, it had ended up to be theirs.

"Think he'll recognize our faces? It'd be much easier if he didn't." The fact was that if the male did realize who they were, he might panic and hurt himself even more. But, how had Lucielle gotten him down here in the first place? Good question. He'd carried him without having the kid throw a fit. So, was there trust on the human's part, and, if so, did that trust extend to Crux and himself? Time to find out.

Crux murmured lightly in agreement, his thoughts muddled. For this human to stay with them, he would have to trust them all - not just Lucielle. So then, this would certainly be his trial by fire with them wearing his blood. Crux doubted that a human's sense of smell would be nearly good enough to pick up his own blood, but maybe he wouldn't be but so dense. If he resisted, well... they would do what they could for their little brother, to protect him.

He followed after Rashne, intent though slightly grim. There was the large possiblity of things going very wrong.

Rashne felt Crux's presence behind him, a residue of the weird connection they'd just had. He felt chills up and down his spine, unsure about whether what they were about to do was for the good of Lucielle or the human. Stepping close to the mound of pillows, where the too-bright blood spilled, Rashne knelt down so that he could see into the human's face.

Connor had been in a half-dreaming state when he saw a face loom before him. At first, he thought it was Lucielle, coming back with things to help because the face looked so much like him. But, after a moment's scrutiny, he flinched back a little, knowing exactly who was in front of him. Swallowing past the block in his throat, which had suddenly gone dry, Connor remembered what Lu had told him: he and his brothers were just following orders, nothing more. They were safe now. Probably.

Although he didn't move away from the pair of brothers, Connor made no movement to advance forward to seek their help. He just sat and whimpered. It was the most he could do at the moment.

He followed after his brother's example, squatting down near the edge of the bowl of their bed and looking down on the human. He was closer to the shoulder than the front, and for a moment just stared. This thing, beaten and bloody and broken, was so very pitiful. If this was what Lucielle had seen in the pits once their duty had dissipated the cloud before their eyes, then perhaps it was easier to see why he had decided that it was this human and this time.

"What's your name, human?" He reached out as he spoke aloud, gently touching the other's shoulder if he didn't flinch away. Unconsciously, a hand slipped out to entwine with Rashne's in the same instant. Crux wasn't sure how to go about coaxing this human to stop its mewling, yet Lucielle's feelings for him were starting to interfere with his own standard thoughts - they were so strong so quickly.

Rashne moved to glance his fingers over the wounds at the same instant that Crux moved. He expected a whimper or a whine, maybe even some thrashing, but all Rashne got as a reaction was a slight shiver and the human turning away from them (at least, as far as he could manage). It hurt him to watch the wounds gap open and closed as the human male moved about. "Stop moving around," he said, purposely waiting an instant until after Crux had asked his question.

Connor clenched his teeth, scared to death that they were going to go again Lucielle's word and kill him. Afterall, they did seem to be older and in charge. "Connor, sir." The response came weak and breathy. At the command to stop moving, the human did just that; his body seemed to give up its fight and relaxed into the pillows. He was falling into the only role he knew: that of a slave.

Rashne moved his hand slowly down Connor's side, inspecting various wounds and scratches. All the while, he cooed and sighed, telling the human that Lucielle was on his way back, that they were just here to help clean him up a little before he returned. Rashne sent instructions through the fast-fading link to Crux. "Just keep talking to him. Soothe him. Think of him as an exhausted wounded animal." With that, Rashne felt the connection break and their old link was reestablished.

Separate, yet not, for they'd never really be apart no matter what happened to them. It would always be there, the extra presence of his two brothers on the periphereal of his knowing. A strange comfort that he'd be lost without.

His nerves settled as Connor seemed to finally understand that they weren't here to hurt him. He had recognized them, somehow, without their canine form. That in itself was a gift to connect them, but Crux wasn't willing to give him that much of a compliment. He certainly very easily could have guessed it. He nodded slowly at the mention of the human's name, though his real attention was on Rashne's words. He let his younger brother do all the looking over the wounds. Healing was not something he could do very well at all unless it was his own body.

"I am not 'sir', Connor. It's Crux," he paused then, straying a thought to Rashne. "But not brother. Not yet." "Tell us about yourself while we get you moved to the baths." Distraction. Crux knew that that worked - sometimes.

Connor almost said 'Yes, sir' in reply to the male's command, but he stopped himself. Barely. "Baths?" he squeaked, but coughed a little, causing a line of sharp pain to run down his side. He got a stern frown from Rashne, so decided to follow his instructions and not protest. "Yesterday, I angered the Master. I'm not too sure what I did to make him blow up on me, but apparently, it was that bad. He sent me down here to be punished." From there, Connor wasn't all too sure what had happened. Well, obviously, he'd been beaten and shredded to ribbons, but then Lucielle had promised to help him. He shrugged and coughed again, making his lungs swell with air and thus causing his wounds to gap open even more.

Rashne continued to frown, not at the human's wounds, but at his wounds. No, the trio hadn't meant to kill, and it was anything but their responsibility to take care of their victims afterwards, but they had never really inspected their handiwork up close. The cuts weren't that deep, but their ran in long lines, nearly perpendicular to the male's ribs. The remains of his shirt had soaked up the blood, and there were bits of ripped cloth in the wounds, but otherwise, everything was a clean cut. Rashne grimly smiled, thankful that they hadn't decided to skin him. He would have had a harder time stitching him back up. Plus, Lu would have had a rag doll for a pet, rather than a human.

Crux kept his hand on Connor's shoulder as the male spoke, watching both his brother and the human alternately as Rashne examined the wounds. Once Rashne seemed to be done with his judgements on the human's condition, Crux spoke up. "Yes, baths. That's how we're going to get you clean." He moved his other arm now, placing it on Connor's opposite shoulder as he slid into the pillows behind him. "Keep your mouth shut, even if it hurts." And Crux didn't give the other time to respond, quickly moving to pulled him into his strong arms. Long before he had made this move, he'd told Rashne about it, and to distract Lucielle's good hearing with a request to bring in a plate of food for them all.

Swallowing the near scream that threatened to surface, Connor gave a rough grunt, instead. He tried to relax in the embrace of the male, but the sharp tugs at his stomach almost made him throw up. If they were going to help him, then he'd help them help him.

Rashne released Crux's hand to give him more support for Connor's body. Unsure of what to do with himself, he spoke to Connor now. "I'm going to have to stitch you up afterwards. The cloth in the wounds might take some soaking to get out, so I'll leave you with Crux to wash up, and I'll prepare everything." He smoothed a hand over Connor's hair, which was speckled with dried blood. Smiling at Crux and giving him strict instructions about what to do, he turned and headed in the direction that Lu had taken. If he could delay his younger brother some more, than all the better.

Crux remained squatting a bit longer, leaning forward to nuzzle Connor's neck a bit to thank him for obeying before he stood. He stepped out of the bed, pausing and waiting for Rashne's final thoughts before he began to slowly walk off. He chattered a bit to his brother as he went through the mind, mentioning that maybe he could get Lucielle to clean up their bedding for them before he came to check in on the human. That would be best. And he could clean the baths afterwards too, while Crux worked to hold Connor still as Rashne sewed. That would be... difficult, to say the least.

"The baths are fed by a natural hot spring, and Luc is getting you some clean clothes to change into afterwards." He tried for some small talk as he stepped into the baths cave area, moving towards the rim with the seating, where he and Rashne had just had their fun earlier.

The human stiffened a little as Crux rose. It was unnerving to have the thing that had just carved him up like a turkey, nuzzling at his neck. But, he didn't complain. Being a carved turkey wasn't fun.

The steam hit him full in the face as they entered the smaller cavern. It was hot, and it made the wounds sting. His stomach rolled again, forcing Connor to give a little moan of helplessness. It wasn't his fault that he felt sick, but it wouldn't do to vomit all over Crux. He just might go berserk and try and kill him again. Not something Connor wanted.

He nuzzled at Connor again, noting the way that he reacted and especially the vocalization. "Just trust us. We're going to look after you for Lucielle." Gently, he set the other down on the side of the rim of the pool so that his feet hung over dry ground as opposed to in the water. Crux didn't remove his hands from Connor's shoulders, wanting to make sure that the other wasn't going to fall. He was certainly worried about drowning the human by accident, which he let slip to Rashne. He knew just to not let the human out of his arms and he'd be fine, but it still worried him and he just couldn't help sharing it with his brother.

"We've got to strip you for this, and I need to as well. Are you alright if I let you go here?" He leaned forward again to nuzzle at Connor's neck - this was almost infectious with the way he kept doing it. Certainly Lucielle's feelings were strong for the human.

Rashne responded to the worry with a laugh that he wuickly bit back. Apologizing, the middle brother warned Crux not to fall too quickly for Connor, lest he be forced to kill him off due to jealousy.

Connor, who had no idea about the exchange, qiuckly looked back at Crux, just to make sure that he was serious. It made him curl over his torso, arms gripping his sides, but he nodded. "I can manage to sit up for a while." That was, if he didn't get surprised by the rising level of intamacy. But, the three brothers were shifters, who were concentrated around the sense of feeling, and brothers to boot. Connor blinked and repeated the last thought in his mind. Brothers. Ewww...

Crux sent Rashne the mental imge of him pushing the other into the baths in response to the laughter and the comment about Connor. There was a hint of his own jealousy in the emotions surrounding it to boot. Connor belongs to Lucielle, brother. Oh dear. Crux's 'serious' word for Rashne when used in that tone. He was not happy at all with what it was that Rashne was implying.

He let his attention slip back to the human, sighing slightly as he watched him double over. Slowly he released his grip on the boy's shoulders, quickly pulling his shirt over his head and dropping it off to the side. His pants and boxers followed suit, and within a small amount of time he was in the water behind Connor, reaching out to him gently. "Lean back on me, slowly. Can you help me get your clothes off now?" One hand was on the edge of Connor's shirt, tugging up lightly. The ohter was at his waist, over the clasp in his belt. Crux wasn't fazed by that area of the body at all, letting his hand just sit there as he waited for Connor's response.

Rashne giggled a little and opened the connection between them a little more. Kissing the open palm of his right hand, the middle child apologized. "You know I didn't mean it like that, Crux," he pleaded. He felt his hands over Connor's body and raised an eyebrow for his brother, but didn't say a word.

Connor swallowed past the thick lump in his throat. He had sat up by the time Crux was in the pool. Obeying the command, Connor tensed, unsure about how he was supposed to respond to the close contact. Taking it in stride though, the human ignored and intimacy and coughed again, expanding his sides and causing some more pain. "I can try and help." He lifted his arms above his head and attempted to tug the remains of the cloth up and over. He only got so far as pulling it away from his ribs.

A small growl coiled itself through Crux's thoughts, directed towards Rashne's action and lack of words. His brother knew full well what it was that he was doing, and that it had nothig to do with what he wanted to think it did. Despite Rashne's small attempt at an apology, Crux ignored him and narrowed what it was that his brother could pick-up from him through their link. There was a time to be serious and a time for games - and now was the latter and not the former.

The hound was not pleased with his brother, and that seemed to spill over onto his physical features towards Connor. It was difficult at times to try and balance his two brothers with whatever it was that he was actually supposed to be doing. He tugged the shirt off of Connor without saying anything, keeping their contact close to prevent the human from toppling into the pool. With the tattered rag tossed aside, his other hand joined the one resting near the waistband. Immediately he involved himself in undoing Connor's pants, still silent and ignorant of any uncertainties or hesitation that the poor boy might have over the concept of a bath with who had just earlier tried to kill him.

Rashne frowned. He felt left out, something he never liked. Whining aloud, Rashne didn't push into his brother's mind; that was rude. He did prod it a little harder than normal, though, telling him to be careful of the human, that if he drowned or got hurt even more, Lu would blame the person who was last with him.

Connor whimpered a little, but remembered the command not to open his lips because of the pain. The cloth pulled out of his skin, basically inside of his body, hurt like hell. The hand that slid down to his waist made him a little more nervous than it would have if his brain hadn't connected the three men as brothers who were...

Connor pushed the thought roughly from his mind. He could be wrong in assuming things, but the human doubted that. He tried to reset his feet on the bottom of the natural hotspring, but slipped and ended up falling back against Crux. Blushing furiously, Connor flinched at the sudden movement causing pain in his body. But, the thing that occupied his mind more was just how close Crux was, and just how naked both of them were.

Whether his brother felt left out or included was something that Crux didn't care about at the moment. Rashne's harsh insistance, playing off of Crux's own worries, didn't help him one bit however. He stopped in his movements, taking a better and more careful look at the poor human who he had probably been traumatizing without realizing.

He sighed, moving the top hand about Connor's pant's front to his waist to help support him better. Gently, Crux nuzzled the side of Connor's neck, whispering small words fo encouragement as if he was speaking to Lucielle or Rashne. "It's alright now, don't hurt yourself." He sighed through his nose lightly, the air grazing against the human's neck. On the upbreath, he noted that Connor smelled of Lucielle and sand and blood and fear.

The second hand on Connor's waist finished undoing the zipper and buttons, and began to peel the fabric down and away as easily as he could. "We don't want you making Lucielle upset," Crux sighed, "Our little brother has quite the fondness for you already." Certainly it was something that was apparent for Rashne and Crux, but he wasn't too sure if the human had figured it out yet. "I know this hurts, but if your wounds aren't cleaned out of the sand and fabric, then they'll get infected and you'll probably die. I'm not going to let that happen." In the process of trying to untangle Connor from his pants, Crux had pulled the human closer to him and was partially bent over him at an odd angle that to some might have made what he was saying a little... intangible..

Connor didn't so much pay attention to the words as their tone; it was soft, but commanding at the same time. The human wasn't exactly one to be spacing out when he thought his life was in danger, but this was most definitely one of those times. His mind raced to the feel of warm smooth flesh at his back, the hands caressing his waist, pulling off his pants...Dammit, no! This wasn't what he was supposed to be feeling.

Connor's breath came harshly now, the little voice inside his head saying that the man behind him had just nearly gutted him. His body responded for him and he gave a deep shuddering sigh, leaning back against Crux more comfortably, Connor figured that if the other was going through this much trouble to keep him alive, he might as well help him by keeping himself alive.

Crux ignored the heat that was rising off of the human, knowing full well its source and trying his best to not get caught up in it as well. It wasn't his place to take Connor as his own - he was Lu's pet and certainly not something that he should be playing with at all. And Crux, thankfully, had more restraint than either of his two brothers or Connor. Despite his own reassurances and knowledge of what was and what wasn't, Crux couldn't help but be tempted. Bent over Connor like this with his hands yanking down the remainder of frabric, Crux's nose was almost right up against the wounds. Without even realizing what he was doing, Crux's tongue had slipped out to lap at the blood dripping from one even as his hands worked. It was a gentle action, affectionate even, lacking any hunger or violence towards Connor. but could the poor human see that reflected just through Crux's tongue? Well, it was the strongest single muscle in the human body... (did that help any? we think not)

Connor didn't breath for what felt like hours. He tried to take deep, even breaths, eyes gone wide with either terror or surprise. The male's back stiffened, as if frozen in place. He locked his arms by his side, deciding that if he was to shove the shifter off of him, the human would definitely be overpowered. "Cr-Crux?" Wasn't this all to help him? Maybe the guy had some miracle spit or something, like vampires? Probably not.

The human male inhaled deeply through his nose, picking up the musky scent of Crux even with his pathetic human senses. It calmed him a little, if only because it reminded him of Lucielle. His eyes slid shut, picturing Lucielle here, instead of Crux. That would have been a much happier picture. But, he wasn't so sure if Lucielle would have licked his wounds, also. That truly was the question.
