Hi, Jose! I'm a Dueñas, too. I'm Filipino, and currently based here in Quezon City, Philippines. and..could barely speak and understand spanish. :-)

Anyway, i'm quite interested on the history of how our surname came to be here in the Philippines (not that i'm into history or what. just want to get to know the roots of my surname). maybe you could share your knowledge and enlighten me on this.

A roommate of mine when i was still staying in a dorm in the University of the Philippines - Diliman (where i'm taking my masters degree) told me that the first Dueñas who came to the Philippines was a portuguese merchant. she came across this information in her research for her dissertation on Filipino religions.

tnx in advance.

Hi, My name is Veronica Duenas. My father is from Mexico, I heard the last name comes from France, but I honestly think it's from the Phillipines.
