Personally, I am of the old school but am not quite naive enough to believe that no one cheats.....I don't believe we'll ever be able to stop the cheating......However, I can't, for the life of me, understand the satisfaction of winning a game in this GREAT game of PINOCHE by cheating....I know I'll never understand that....

As an afterthought, let me state here that when I learned to play Pinochle in the service (that's back almost 60 years ago)....PINOCHLE was the ONLY game I saw played where NO MONEY was wagered on the outcome of the game....The players would form a TEAM in their Barracks and CHALLENGE a team from one of the other Barracks to play a game or TWO outta THREE just for the HONOR of winning.....Then the winners would be challenged by a team from another Barrack......etc.......BUT,,,,there was NEVER any money involved.........That in itself has to say what a great card game Pinochle really is.......Those that do cheat are only cheating themselves.........Cheating will always go on....Is's too easy to do....we'll NEVER be able to stop it.....My advice would be to grin and bear it.....Make a personal note of the ones you suspect of cheating and don't Play with them anymore.....Even though the Host/hostess, accidentally pairs you with someone you suspect of cheating.....just discretly tell the host why you don't want to play those opponents and they'll find someone else available to play with you......If this happens often enough, the cheaters will soon find other places to go to practice their trade.
