I really got into shihad when i was bout 14/13 and went to welington for a week doing a guitar school. They were playing on a local radio station playing Down Dance and I think fish accross face by Head like a hole was after them. I was like waaa there is a really cool metal band in new zealand. A while later I went to see Antrax in wellington and Shihad were on support. They fuckin rocked like no band I had ever seen before. There songs were perfect live songs and there virsion of the sabith classic the wizard rocked like hell. I remember Jon having his Riff moments where the rest of the band would stop and he would go into one moshing like mad playing some crazy riff. I still have the devolve tape too and even to this day I still play down dance on my guitar(great riff!!). I live in england now and love getting guys into the band.
I dont think there is an album I like more than any other from them as there all so differant and I like all the styles they have done.
I think the new album they tried a little to hard to get that "big hit" but I cant blame them for that. Run is now on my all time classic list.

Just wish they would play in the UK more so I could get my mates to come and see the best live bandin the world.
