Chapter 20: Closure
Talib and Meg weren�t able to work out their issues and after one too many fights, they went their separate ways, a week after the gala had been held. Needless to say, the others were surprised it had taken them a whole week before they finally ended it.
Stevie and Terina had also parted ways after she explained everything to him. He was surprisingly understanding and since they hadn�t been going out for very long, the breakup wasn�t as difficult.
After the two breakups, Talib and Terina were finally together and they didn�t need to hide their love for each other anymore.
Star was still seeing Jamal exclusively and they were more in love than ever. The two of them quickly became Talib and Terina�s �couple friends�, in which they did everything together from double dating to coffee shop breaks to shopping.
Clara and Jarell were still going strong as well and they kept busy with helping to plan the upcoming wedding of their good friends. In the midst of the hype, they had discussed how they wanted their own wedding to be like. Clara was excited that Jarell was so open to talking about their future together.
At the other end of the spectrum, Nelly and Keisha, who had vowed to each other that they wanted to get married one day, had a little of a falling out. They were still dating but because of some fights, they decided to be allowed to see other people as well. Keisha knew that they just needed some time apart, and with dating other people, it may make them both realize how much they really cherished each other�s company.
A few months prior to the wedding, Lami and Nique announced their own engagement. They had been discussing it for a long time and with planning the wedding, it brought out the passion to get married themselves. Nique planned to have a smaller ceremony with Terina and Star as her bridesmaids. Lami wanted a slightly larger wedding party because with only two bridesmaids, it forced him to pick only two of his four best friends.
Ten months after their engagement, Jiz and Liz were married. Liz had Keisha, Nique, Clara and Meg as her bridesmaids while Jiz had the four guys as his groomsmen. The ceremony was beautiful and her dress had a long train flowing behind her.
Terina sat with Star and Jamal in the congregation and she admired Talib in his tuxedo on the altar. Talib found it awkward to be seeing Meg after all this time. They hadn�t seen a lot of each other since they broke up. To make it worse, because of all the couple pairings, he had to walk up and down the aisle with her. At least this time, Talib had no shadow of a doubt in his mind who he wanted to be with.
At the reception, Talib found himself excited when Terina caught Liz�s bouquet of roses. She looked so adorable and happy as she clutched the flowers and jumped up and down with Star, both girls squealing with excitement.
He danced with Terina once the dinner was over and he held her close, thinking about the trouble they had gone through all those months to keep the others from seeing them together in public when now they danced together, in the company of all their friends.
