Subject: Reading the Postal Rag

I delivered the Pacific Area Update and observed a clip board carrier skulking around all in one day today and I almost lost it! Could we just make an effort to trim the fat on this hog. Seriously, does anyone really think it's relevent to what we do that come postmistress had her picture taken with some has been athlete? Look. When we said we wanted more communication, if was job relevent communication, not this dribble. So save the postal service a grip of money and get rid of this as well as the majority of the post cards my mailbox is inundated with. Six billion dollars in the red, year after year and we're printing this? Please. I'll spare the rant on the onslaught of auditors( loosely defined as management without a home). Suffice it to say that their relevence to mail delivery is pretty much non existant and the importance of their focus is simply to satisfy the whim of someone higher up instead of focusing on providing the service that the customer would like to have. The worst business model (and the one which we are currently subscribed) is to decide what the customer wants and then attempt to provide it. The problem with that is we've made the decision before we've asked the question - that being 'what do you expect from us.'
