In reply to: Alex NB 's message, "After yesterdays...."Elections" I have only two words...." on 20:02:38 11/07/02 Thu

Alex points out something, in a roundabout manner, that is very true:

The "old white boy" club now is in control. If any of us are not just like them, then we are on the outs. I find it so surprising that the generation that marched against "the establishment" (read: baby boomers) have turned their backs on the ideals of their youth. What about freedom? Equality? Love? PEACE? I guess it doesn't mean much if it stands in the way of how much money they can make. Granted, this is not true for all of the Boomers, but as a whole I find them disappointing that they only have one single, unifying belief: Their own, personal, secular happiness at the expense of everything and everyone else.

I can't wait to watch their kids treat them like crap when they are really old and gibbering. Maybe then they can remember what their youth movement was about as the Alzheimer's sets in.

On a personal note: Alex, you always have a place with us. Love you, brother.
