Been under the weather mostly between severe spinal arthritis that extends into my legs, making walking difficult and sometimes right leg was giving out.

Yesterday I had the most unique hospital experiences I've ever seen. Had a lumbar epidural (steroid) in a new hospital only two years old lowned by doctors, mostly Indian. They're patterned after the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo's where there's a committment to providing superior care to patients. They only have 18 inpatient beds but instead of usual hospital food, they have room service and are fully staffed around the clock. Never been to one where four nurses hovered over me no-stop for a routine procedure! The friendliness, professionalism was quite a change from the usual afloofness found in our local big hospitals. Got my first full nights sleep last night that I've had in weeks due to a time release sedative and can almost walk upright today--until some of the pain returned but the epidural effects should begin in another day or two.

I'm so glad you're getting to come home for awhile, Paul. It just be terribly difficult to be removed from your family for such long periods. Hopefully, one of these days this long nightmare will be over.

Brian has volunteered for another deployment and we're all upset over that. He's facing another divorce and I'm not sure whether he has a death wish or if it's an escape mechanism but having PTSD doesn't make us feel good about this.

Dems got their 60 votes tonight so the debate can continue. I don't understand why Republicans tried to stop debate. I thought that's what they wanted, to have input into the bill. Guess not.

Have a good time at home and hold your family close as I'm sure you will. Take care and stay well.
