Subject: Im not so tired
In reply to: Paul Davis 's message, "I'm tired" on 08:33:28 11/21/09 Sat

Things have been crazy busy with me as we get closer to holidays its just going to get busier. But Ive also been wondering where everyone has been Paul. Seems that you and I have been having a monologue with just ourselves lately. But Im not tired at this point, Im thankful.

Never say miracles dont happen. For the first time in my life I have been associated with an actual miracle. Short story is that someone I know was sent home to die. This was not just anybody but someone who has given of her time and life to help people at the ends of their lives from AIDS. She and her husband have adopted kids with AIDs that no one else wanted.

She found out a couple months back that she had terminal cancer. She went to Housten to a center that specializes in this stuff and was sent home after they did all they could. Just make her comfortable.. She was in a coma, getting weaker and wasnt expected to awaken ever again.

The below seems so unreal and if I hadnt been talking to these people over the last few years I would be hard put to really really believe...but then miracles happen:

Below is reading from her facebook site:
Nov 18, 2009
Something beautiful happened about an hour ago. My little brother, Stevie was sitting next to Mom, he had his little hand on her forehead and was just staring at her. All of a sudden, he got up and went to the slider that leads out to the upper deck outside of Mom and Dad's room. He threw the door open and said, "Mommy says they are coming." when we asked him why he did that. A moment later, doves...at least twenty of them, flew in and landed on her. Dad went and got the cameras, but they wouldn't work, all power had been drained from the batteries. They stayed on her for about 15 minutes, each one taking a turn to light on her head. After each one had done that, they all flew back out the door. Mom woke up then and told us she loves us, then said..."I'll soon be done, then I'll be able to stay home." And Dad told her that she was home. She looked at him and smiled, "I'll be able to stay." She then drifted back to sleep again. Miracles happen every day.

Physically, she all of a sudden has full kidney function again. Anna took her off of the dialysis. Her lung is clear and she is breathing better. Dr. Liz has asked Dad to bring her down to the hospital for CT and MRI scans, just to see what the tumors are doing...if anything.

We grasp at hope, and the promise of miracles here. Maybe we are getting one...maybe.

November 20
Mom is awake, I mean really awake! She was talking to us, she knows where she is, knows what's going on. Dad just left with her to take her down to the hospital for the scans.

Every one here is just amazed. She is in alot of pain, but she was all smiles. Gave all her babies hugs and kisses (even my tough brothers, hehehehe).

November 23 (this is from her husband)
Hey all...

Scans came back, tumor on kidney is no longer there, tumor on lung is no longer there, tumor on liver is still there but has had no growth since her last scans in Houston.

We are going to go down tomorrow and speak with the oncologist about maybe trying to do more treatments.

Uh, all I can say is Praise God, because He is the only One that could have done this...She's coming back to us.
