Good post Paul.Personally,I have no problem with a tax increase.

With Health care the way it is now and getting more expensive each year,plus cutting of benefits.

I have Blue/Cross Blue Shield and Medicare.Each time I open my bills they pay less.. Mine consist mostly of Doctor's appointments as I have not had a serious illness.But we are being nickeled and dimed to death now.
Do if congress comes up with a decent bill and I have to pay more taxes so that my Children and Grandchild have decent coverage that does not depend on one company it will suit me fine.

At least the economy is beginning to show slight signs of recovery. Maybe you will soon be able to come back to the states and work.I am sure this is hard on both you and your family.
