I think Ebonics can be used as a tool (or form of communication) to transmit needed information. I've always been a fan of people trying to improve themselves by whatever means. Imagine if you were trying to teach Math or History, by using English and only English, to a group of children who only spoke and understood Spanish. How much do you think those children would learn? In other words, you wouldn't be successful in communicating your message or lesson. If we treat Ebonics as that tool that will allow a child to learn, I don't see why it can't be used.
