(i forgot what we're talking about in here...?)

::She beckoned him in with one hand before falling onto one of the beds. A plume of dust rose in her wake from the feather matress. Exhaustion and sleepless nights lined her face, now ashen with the past days' events. Almost too tired to do so, she pulled off her riding boots and crawled beneath the sheets. In afterthought, a sword belt and occpied scabard were hung on the bed-post::

::Tristian pulled a chair to the fireside, striking a match to set aflame the tinder. A rosey glow encompased the room, light enough for visibility, but not enough to wake those who rested. In his hand was held a worn leather book, the page-edges beginning to tinge yellow with age. His other held a quill, the tip just dipped into a waiting ink-pot. Searching through the pages for a last entry, written by the last occupant of the cabin, the Rider began to write in a crisp script a new log::

15th March, 1248 N.E.
Lt. Aeryon and myself made well in pace today. We covered a significant amount of ground; nearly a fifth of our journey. But I fear the good fortune will not last; a storm has forced us to stop here for the night, and I believe it will continue for some time. Aeryon picked up a traveller on our way, and being who she is offered him shelter with us. A quiet man, whom I do not mind being around. Others that I have met... But the hour grows late, and these past nights have been ones of little sleep. I shall write tomorrow if we are waylaid.

Lt. Tristian Cobblebay, Second Corp.

::The book was held open for a moment, ghost-gray eyes scanning over the fresh writing. Wtih a snap it shut, and was set back on the shelf along with the quill and ink. Then he, too, retired for the night, if possible more exhausted than his sister::
