Heroic? That's in the Conan RPG rules I thought?

Personally, I hate Heroic more than point buy -- it's a munchkin's wet dream.

I'm a solid proponent of 4d6 x 6 with no free 18s and no rerolls. You get to be slightly above average characters with 1 or 2 very good stats (15 is too a good stat!) trying to make your way in a difficult world -- since you can't do everything great all the time, you must rely on your friends to use their unique skills to help you all succeed.

I tolerate the various rolling methods used because:

Bottomline, how you achieve character stats is infintesimally less important than how they are used. Straight 18s are useless if you don't play smart and engage yourself in the game.

and if I want your character to fail or die when I GM, your stats will not avail you!
