Aha. The strangest decision I had to make after getting out of the Navy was what color socks to wear every day. After wearing the black ones pretty much every working day for years, it seemed like an odd choice to have to make.

I don't think the Hero system is helped by all the jargon they use either. Instead of a 12-shot laser gun, you end up with a 7pt. 7d6 EB OAF (-1) 12 charges (-2) RED PEN (-1/4) Lots of arcane abbreviations and fractions in the power writeups that don't really make ANY sense to a newbie. Steep learning curve.

And I think the hardest thing about a super hero game is to balance the power levels so that the Batman-type character and Superman-type character both have something to do. But they have the same problem in comics too. I'm a big fan of the Authority, JSA, Avengers, etc., but half their members are gods and the other half are limited to punching and kicking.

Sorry, I suspect I am wandering far from the topic here. Like I said, I love super hero games. Babble, babble, babble.
