We feel this is a reasonable trek for a day but have been stuck before. Surprise weather or a twisted ankle can slow you down. The next days goal is over Washington and down. Which way down is up in the air.
Base camping in the dry river valley and day hiking soom high loops is also on our agenda for the future. Also a loop up the Castelated Ridge and down is a goal.
What do you think about that section of the Crawford Path for a one day goal for some moderate full pack backpackers? Also what do you think about the Castelated Ridge. I heard it is tough.
Thanks for your reply in advance.
