Considering how hard I was laughing in the first act with Simon coaching the crew on medical terms, I figured this ep would be mostly humour. But it turned on its head, spun out this intense action piece that really wrung out Simon's love for River, made River even more sympathetic (can you imagine never being able to stop feeling?), and showed Jayne as the truly opportunistic SOB he really is.

This episode was incredible. Right now, it ties with "Out of Gas" as my favourite.
