"Aye, that would be us, so it seems..." she replies. "And yes, Dagger is right-no one of us is like another. I suppose that this 'individuality' or 'uniqueness', as some would have it, is what misleads many to find us intimidating, whereas for me and many of my friends, tis just a fine way to liven life up from time to time, the way we see it. We are not all coldblooded heartless killers." She explains gently, returning Dagger's smile understandingly. "We all have feelings, some just choose to show them more than others." As everyone probably knew, the real art of conversation was not only to say the right thing in the right place, but also to leave the wrong thing unsaid at the most tempting moment...this was a skill she was still struggling to completely master, perhaps she never would. However, she forges ahead, steering away from certain touchy subjects with practiced ease. "For example, take the idea of the optimist who constantly believes that we are living in the best of times, while the pessimist simply fears that this is true." she says thoughtfully, unaware of the wisdom beyond her years that her little mind posesses. "I have seen enough to know that life is good right now-it's not going to change, what we do with it is our own decision." Stopping herself in mid thought, she offers a small grin. "Sorry, did that make any sense? Usually I'm the only one who understands what I'm talking about when I think aloud. I'll shut up now." She says sheepishly, putting an abrupt end to the poetic words spouting from her lips without any previous knowledge from her brain. When would she ever learn to hold her tongue? The young mare berates herself silently, torn between trying to make the other mare understand her point of view, or simply masking it all over with the "tough rebel" attitude as many often did.
