Date Posted: 19:30:16 11/10/04 Wed If the Scots wish to be independent, that is their choice; however, if they wish to continue to prosper in a mighty and ancient union, then I'm glad to hear it. As for the Nuclear Disarmament... what are you, insane? The World is full of terrorists and the main reason why the UK isn't part of the USSR is MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction). I feel reassured that if anyone dares launch a nuclear strike against us, one of our (hopefully working) submarines will be able to fire an ICBM from the sea bed into orbit, which will then drop a hydrogen nuclear bomb or two onto the offending country, and that more importantly, the world knows that we have the power to do it. Would the US have dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan if they the Japanese had a nuclear programme? I think not. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
