] Date Posted: 23:49:59 11/12/04 Fri In reply to: Jim (Canada) 's message, "Paddy, I could not agree with you more" on 16:51:40 11/12/04 Fri Jim, You are certainly not the only one. I stumbled across the following page called Red Ensign Bloggers which groups a number of blog pages where the authors share the same vision ideals of Canada that you do. Date Posted: 14:38:49 11/13/04 Sat I wish they'd fly the Union jack here, but the nearest we have is a series of flags hanging down in a corridor, which they use for photo opportunities, with the Union Jack mingled in between the French and German flags. However, they had the nerve to take the school picture with the Greek flag in the fly obscuring all the others and a tiny portion of the Union Jack in the upper-left hand corner: Here that a picture. Still, you won't be laughing if they change the Australian flag to that retarded kangeroo. :P [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 17:27:33 11/13/04 Sat In July, I read an article under the title of "A republic would enhance the value of the Australian national identity". It was seriously saying that we should become a republic in order to better position ourselves as a brand on the global market. Bugger that! If I'm going to be reduced to the status of a brand name, I'd rather it be that of the parent corporation that brought the world Chaucer, Shakespeare and Milton, not the South Pacific branch that was farmed off to the local shareholders.
